Re: Withdrawal of COS confirmation - Tier 2 General Visa

1. Their obligation is to inform ukvi, that's it. The rest is up to ukvi. It is simply notifying ukvi and not cancelling anything. A) they are not cancelling your cos. They are informing ho that you are no longer a sponsored employee. That's it. B) your previous employer knows what their obligations...

Re: Withdrawal of COS confirmation - Tier 2 General Visa

1. That is all they have to do is simply update ukvi. Nothing else.

2. You could have asked for a cos from your new employer even while you were still employed with the other employer. Nothing prevents this.

Re: NHS surcharge double tax for immigration.

@secret.simon, think with recent changes that are to take effect, Tier 4 for international students, can lead to the right to settle in the UK or British citizenship through the PSW leave to be given. Would you know if that is through the 10 year Long Residence route or if the years of studying on ...

Re: Withdrawal of COS confirmation - Tier 2 General Visa

You are misunderstanding the process. The cos isn't "withdrawn". The employer only has an obligation to inform ukvi within 10 days after your last working day, that you are no longer employers as a sponsored migrant. That's it.

Only UKVI can cancel your visa.

secret.simon , think with recent changes that are to take effect, Tier 4 for international students, can lead to the right to settle in the UK or British citizenship through the PSW leave to be given. Tier 4 does not and will not lead to settlement based in 5 years residence. The new Psw is a compl...

Re: Entering the UK With Tier 2 ICT Visa Vignette Valid for 90 days

My question is how early am I allowed to enter the UK before my actual start date under current COVID-19 regulations. Anytime within the 90 days validity of your visa vignette. Before COVID-19 it said the vignette would give you permission to enter 10 days before the stated start date on the COS. N...

Re: 2021 Guidelines Tier 2

The new pbs route doesn't state anything about PBS dependents switching to the PBS visa new route within the UK.

The guidance is also clear on the rlmt.

2. Hand in notice, would curtailment letter be issued right away? No it is not issued immediately. Your current sponsor only informs UKVI within 10 days AFTER your last date of employment that you are no longer an employee. It is not from the date you give notice. Bear in mind that if your new tier...

None of us on the forum know when priority service will resume. They are still dealing with the backlog and until it is cleared, it is unlikely to be available.

Re: Will you get stopped or questions asked at Heathrow if you overstay a Tourist Visa?

Basically the question is if you have overstayed for a tourist visa, is there a real chance that you would get stopped when you are leaving the country.
No. However UKVI will receive the information from the airlines of the date you departed, so will be fully aware.
