Re: Alternative to flr m?

No, not the parent route. It will be refused. The parent route is for couples that are divorced/separated and share responsibility for kids but DO NOT live together.

FLR(FP) partner 10 year route is the one to go for if they do not meet the financial requirement.

Re: ILR

Highly likely your non-qualifying Set(O) ILR application will be refused with no right to appeal. Who advised you to submit an ILR application in a category you do not qualify for? You should also note that your FLR(O) and FLR(FP) and now the Set(O) could be viewed as 'frivolous and vexatious' appli...

Re: Naturalised BC moving to India - Children

Children born in India to a naturalised British citing will be British by Descent and can apply directly for a passport but only if the children are born AFTER you became British. Also please note, it is rude to tag your questions onto another members topic regardless of how 'similar' the query seems.

Re: Visa application parent route

When you say your girlfriend wrote a letter stating she supports you, what exactly do you mean?

If you are in an existing relationship with your child's mother, FLR(FP) parent route is likely to fail. What evidence of child support and contact did you provide with your application?

Re: Switching from Tier 4 to Spouse Visa, studies?

Your Tier 4 visa will be cancelled if you are granted a spouse visa.

You have an obligation to inform your university of your change in visa status. You will still be able to study as this is permitted on a spouse visa.

Children born abroad to British Citizens otherwise than by Descent (like your children will be), are British by Descent and can apply for a British passport directly.

Makes no difference what nationality the other parent is.

Re: How to pass on British Citizenship?

YES, but their children (your grandchildren) will be Brirish by Descent and cannot pass on THEIR citizenship to their children (your great grandchildren...

Re: ILR

Set(O) is the WRONG form for ILR based on long residence. Set(O) is for ILR based on 5 years residence on Tier 1, Tier 2, Ancestry, DLR, etc.

Set(LR) is the long residence form but you don't qualify for ILR based on long residence yet.

Re: A few ancestry visa related questions

1. You should be fine. You can of course work part time too.

2. No you don't have to wait the 12 months to apply for citizenship. As soon as you have ILR, you can apply based on 3 years residence Spouse of BC section 6(2) citizenship app.

Re: ILR for Tier 2 dependent (child)

My kids and husband's Tier 2 dependent visa will expire this Dec 2017. Now that I am already granted ILR, how are they going to renew their visa. Will it still be Extension under Tier 2 dependent visa? or it should be different because I already have ILR? If you applied for ILR based on 5 years res...

Re: ILR for Tier 2 dependent (child)

But your husband IS NOT being granted ILR at the same time as you. Yes your kids are YOUR PBS Dependents but they WILL follow the same route as the other parent who was granted PBS Dependent visa at the same time as the kids. There are no appeal rights, so not sure why you think you can appeal. 319J...
