Yes they do. If you need your passport, then best would be to apply in person for a same day decision.

Re: Tier 1 (General) to ILR and FLR for Dependent Query !

is there a possibility to apply for extension under Tier 1 (PBS) System at the end of her current visa tenure (FEB 2016) ? There is no requirement that your spouse has to switch to FLR(M). Your spouse can continue to extend on PBS Dependent form until meeting the 5 year requirement. If she switches...

Re: Spouse visa requirements

It needs to be English A1 from an approved test provider on this list (click), so it depends on which country your wife is applying from and what is available there.

No, you are not correct. You can apply for FL(M) on the last day the fiance visa is valid for if you want (although not usually advised to cut it so fine)

Does she already have a spouse visa?

Your post is unclear on whether she is applying or what she needs on arrival.

Re: Visa for My Fiancee to Marry and Settle in the UK

I understand that we must prove we live together (usually 2 years) with evidence that shows both our names etc Not a requirement if applying from a fiance visa to FLR(M). The FLR(M) form is used for various types of applications (unmarried partner, spouse visa extensions and new applications follow...

Does the 540 days outside the UK throughout the whole 10 year period count vacation ?
540 days includes ALL absences.

Re: 12 months qualifying period. When does it start?

Your wife does not have to apply at the same time as you. She can apply at any time when she returns provided her absences are within the limit. December is a bad time for postal service, high risk that you won't get biometrics before you travel. You do realise that your wife has a timeframe by whic...

Re: 12 months qualifying period. When does it start?

Yes, but some members have waited more than a month for biometric letters and recently one member posted they came back from holiday abroad to find they had missed the deadline for biometrics as letter arrived while they were away. Any reason why you don't wait and apply for citizenship once you are...

Re: Switching Sponsors but with a lag

Your visa will be curtailed, ie cancelled once your employer notifies HO that you have resigned/left the their employment. You will have a limited timeframe to apply for a new visa once your visa is curtailed/cancelled. Manci or Sushdmehta might be best to advise you. Your new employer will still ne...

Re: Need help applying for ILR 10 year base

Q1 - no, you don't fill it in because you have already paid. Make sure you take your proof of payment email with you. Q2 - Use an extra sheet of paper if there is not enough space. Q3 - Just write the reason. You have already been advised that reasonable absences do not require an explanation. Q4 - ...

Re: 12 months qualifying period. When does it start?

Date of ILR approval should be fine although many people wait for 12 months from the date of the BRP.

Does your wife have 5 years residence??

Re: Switching Sponsors but with a lag

How long do you plan on being out of the UK?

When does your current visa expired?

If you apply from outside the UK, it is a new entry clearance visa and if you resign, your current employer is obligated to inform Home Office and your visa will be curtailed.

Suggest you contact VFS. I don't think it is a full visa fee, likely a replacement fee or re-issue fee, but there is definitely a fee to do this.

Re: BRP Delivery Sheffield

You will need to wait like every one else. It will be delivered probably in the next week or so. Your visa was only approved a week ago. There is a system available for your new employers to check your right to work and as a Tier 2 sponsor, they should be aware of this.

How long is your notice period with your current employer?

You should apply for the new Tier 2 G visa before you leave the UK and after RMLT is completed and COS issued.

Does the letter not say what you need to do if you don't travel within the 30 days?

There was a post in the last couple of weeks in one of the other forums about this scenario. I will see if I can find it and post it later.

is it more complex than that? Slightly more complex than you have outlined. Read through Standard Visitor Visa (Click) . Your girlfriend has to qualify for a visa and will have to provide quite a bit of documentary proof that she has ties to Peru and intends to leave the UK. She needs to show evide...
