your wife did not enter as the spouse of a person settled in the UK, you were on a Tier visa.. You have recently been granted ILR as a Tier migrant, she is a tier migrant and needs to apply on Set(O) http://www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk/visas-immigration/settlement/findtherightform/work http://www.ukba...

Set(M) is for a person that was granted a visa (FLR(M) or VAF4) and has spent two years in the UK as the spouse of a settled person or British Citizen, not spouse of a work permit of Tier visa main applicant. She needs to apply on Set(O) for ILR under the 'other' category as her CURRENT visa is a Ti...

Surely she can only apply on Set(M) if she has first switched to FLR(M) - spouse of settled person??

If applying as T1 dependent, isn't it Set(0) for her ILR??

Why would you need to use the Checking Service if you are applying at a PEO in person?? Besides, it is only available for Set(M) postal applications.

Legally separated is when you get separated through the court. If you haven't done that then you select 'married'.

You don't have to be employed for naturalisation. you can put unemployed.

Sorry, yes Jambo, forgot to mention that option.

Also, Kaybom, the requirement is to still be married, separated is acceptable, but hopefully divorce proceedings have not started as that might complicate your application.

Thanks

People should always be prepared and it is always better to take as many documents as you can as you never know what is going to be asked for. I didn't need it for my category of application and it was asked for. It just proves, at the very least, that you are a registered tax payer and your tax is ...

I recently applied and was approved (6 weeks to process) as spouse of BC 3 years residence and only needed passports, LIUK and marriage certificate, NCS did ask for my latest P60 and included in th...

You will need ILR before you can apply for BC and the 3 years residence requirement is you have to be free of immigration control, i.e. ILR. So you can qualify for ILR after 5 years, then apply ILR and immediately after you received it, apply for BC as you would have been legally resident for 3 year...

When are you applying for ILR?? If it is in the next couple of weeks, it is not worth applying for a replacement BRP as they do take a bit of time and you will have to pay for the replacement and redo your biometrics at the post office. Hi, You can apply without your BRP as long as you have reported it to UKBA. For replacement BRPs - they are processed at a different office to ILR applications. On the forms I am sure there is a place to write that you have lost your residence permit, besides which, UKBA will have your information f...
