If it is recognised in the country where the marriage took place, it will be recognised in the uk. There has never been a requirement to register a foreign marriage in the uk. Re: Spouse visa alternatives

Why was the visa refused?
I'm sure under an article under the human rights laws you can apply as husband and wife have the right to live together in either country.
Nope, not so. You dont have to live in the uk, you could live elsewhere.

But I am curious - do councils still offer online options (like they did in Covid).
No, it was only a concession during covid.

You now need to attend in person.

You are mistaken. The rule applies to ALL immigration applications. The only application it does not apply to, is an application for British Citzenship.

If the child leaves the UK while the application is still pending, the application will be considered withdrawn and you lose the visa fee paid.

Your choice what you choose to do.

The most secure and simple solution would be to apply for your new visa from your home country immediately. You could not bring your new child to the U.K. without a dependent visa in any case.

Re: Neutralisation application for spouse and child born abroad

however does this same entitlement pass on to our son who was born abroad. My husband (British) is my sons step father. Just to note, for the purposes of citizenship, step parent is irrelevant. You can include your son in your application, provided he is under the age 18. If your application fails,...

Re: ILR date

Is the time spent waiting for ILR approval considered to be "free from immigration control"? I'm assuming not. No. Time waiting only extends the visa conditions you were on before applying for ilr. For e.g. we applied for ILR in October last year. It has now been approved after 5 months, so the BRP...

No, the rules are clear for children. Their visas will have the same expiry date as the parent whose visa expires first. Tbis is also not a new rule, it has alwaya been in the immigrarion rules for children of points based visa holders. Note the AND after 30.2 c i which is what applies to c ii as or...

Re: Urgent query - MN1 submitted for child, need to travel but BRP expired

I'm unsure given the circumstances how I would've extended their BRPs before they expired because I would have, if I could have. They could've applied for ILR, same way you/your spouse did as kids follow the path of least privileged parent. But it's too late to cry over spilled milk. The children c...

Re: British overseas citizen how to get ROA,ILR or full citizenship

You would need to find a visa you qualify for that leads to settlement after 5 years, ie a skilled worker visa through a sponsoring employer.

There is no special concession for you. You are treated the same as any other non british immigrant.

It is not for the applicant to pay, inform the sponsor to sort it out.

I am an employer and recently issued a COS to a prospective employee (Chef 5434).
