Re: Buying property -- specifically, a narrowboat

Any work, paid or unpaid, charity or volunteer is strictly prohibited on a visitor visa. What you are suggesting would be classed as work. You also cannot stay longer than 6 months as you know and will have to leave for at least 6 months before you can return again.

Re: Spouse visa

You need to prove that you earn a minimum of £18,600 per annum and submit 6 months payslips and 6 months bank statements to prove this. You cannot use benefits towards the total required to meet the financial requirement. You can claim benefits you are entitled to claim. Is your husband in the UK al...

Did he get ILR before 28 October 2013? Clearly he did if he has had ILR for 5 years. He needs to do a new test from one of the HO test providers as he was not required to prove English for his ILR if it was 5 years ago. Ah thank you for your help it's much appreciated. 1. We will need to use FLR(M), is this the correct form to use in this case? Correct but only if you meet the financial requirement of £27,200pa. 2. I must show bank statements/payslips/savings etc. for the period covering six months prior to the application date. Is this right? Correct and this mu...

It has been a very long battle and hopefully she settles in nicely. Remember to think about the applications that need to be done in the future and get her involved in her wider community etc, build contacts (referees for BC in future) and don't forget to put some utilities etc in joint names or her...

They can withdraw their application BUT, if their visa has already expired they are unlikely to get their passport back until they get to the airport to leave. You should also note that the minute the application is withdrawn, she becomes an overstayer from the date her visa expired.

Re: Unsuccessful applications

I applied for that card in 2016 and got it a few months later, (since after 28 years i never needed one) and this is what i sent to the HO with my full application since it met the req...

Studio is fine.

Suggest ignore the brother idea if not in the area where you work as this will cast doubt on the genuineness of your job or your accommodation.
