Re: New contract after Tier 2 renewal

They said that once they pay all the costs for the Tier 2 visa, that they want to put in my contract that I would have to stay with the company 6 months and can't accept any other job offers. Is this allowed? If I broke this, would I face any repercussions? This is not an immigration issue though i...

Re: citizenship based on parent of 7 year old british son

Are you sure that your husband actually applied for ILR and that this was granted? I'm just checking that (like you) there was confusion and he believed that ILR was obtained automatically at the end of his 5 years residence. If so, when exactly was ILR granted? :? OP is on FLR(M) so partner must h...

It is really annoying that you keep posting your question in other peoples threads.

Please can you refrain from doing this and keep your questions and posts in your own topics which you already have.

If you persist in tagging onto to other members threads, your access will be restricted.

I guess, I will need to apply for extension of visa ( dependent visa) in Agu/sep 2016. Yes Then in Dec 2016/Jan 2017 I apply for ILR Or british citizenship (whichever is applicable!!)? You apply for ILR first before you can apply for citizenship. You cannot apply directly for citizenship without IL...

Re: Applying for child's passport, parent on ILR

Did you apply for your naturalisation through NCS? If not, as soon as you get your BRP back apply for passport for the child using the 1 week fastrack. You will have time as you are only British once you attend your ceremony and you can delay this a little if necessary. You don't need your BRP for t...

My partner applied for naturalization based on 5 year rule - tier1+ extension. Does your partner hold ILR? What do you mean by the above and 'extension'? You need 5 years residence at Tier 1 Dependent before you can apply for ILR (or 10 years long residence if you reach that sooner). Once you have ...

1. Will home accept my ILR application 33days before qualifying for period? No

2. If not what are my options please? Have a look at FLR(LR) form.

3. Am I allowed to work employed/self employment in this curtailment period. ? You can only work for your current sponsor.

Why do you want to switch visas when you are allowed to work on your dependent visa and only need 1.5 years to reach ILR with your partner.

My application has been referred to a senior case worker because in the section about "where are you going to live after you get citizenship" I wrote Australia. Re: Question.. ilr since 1993.. becoming british

How old is your Aunt? Certain groups are exempt from LIUK and English test.

She has to apply on form AN and pay the £1236 fee. She needs to meet ALL the requirements (absence, good character, etc).

Once approved and she has attended her ceremony, then she can apply for a British passport.

Re: PBS Tier 1 dependant + FLR (M) = ILR?

Spouse DOES NOT have to apply for FLR(M), which will reset the clock to zero.

Spouse can continue to extend PBS Dependent visa until they meet the requirements for ILR.

If your SOC and job is definitely on the shortage occupation list, I can't see a problem.

Your existing visa is not affected at all until the new visa is approved.
