Re: Spouse visa confused

If your niece is British or has ILR, then yes, she is the sponsor. Does she meet the financial requirement with a salary of at least £18,600 per annum? Does her spouse in Pakistan meet the English requirement from an approved test centre? There is a £600 immigration health surcharge that also has to...

Re: Spouse visa for my wife who in country, pls help

An Islamic marriage would only be recognised if it took place in a country that allows Islamic marriages. You need to give 28 days notice to marry here with one of the approved Registrars and get married under English law. The Registrar has to inform HO of non-EU migrants wanting to marry and this n...

Re: 28 days before completing 5 yrs for ILR

Yes, you can apply 28 days before reaching the 5 years residence mark.

Did you enter the UK within 90 days of your visa issue/start date?

Re: Switching from tier-2 general to tier-2 dependent visa

You need 5 years residence as a PBS Dependent before you will qualify for ILR. If your husband gets ILR, you can continue on the PBS Dependent visa and extend it if needed till you reach 5 years residence.

Re: ILR and Dependent ( really confused pls help )

If you are applying for ILR by post, this will create a problem for them. They cannot apply for an extension if your Tier 1 G visa expires at the same time as theirs and you do not have ILR. For their existing leave to 'continue' if applying by post, they would have to apply in the UK.

Re: UK born child with leave to remain - Parents on ILR

No, but many forum members have done and do this. If you/spouse got ILR based on Tier 1, the childs existing leave/visa will continue and he can travel as long as he returns before it expires.

It would be different advice if you got ILR based on 10 years long residence.

Usually within 21 days to book ceremony and to attend the ceremony within 90 days. This has been covered in numerous posts on the forum.

I do understand your points and agree to some extent. I myself have my parents in South Africa, although my mother qualifies for an Ancestral visa so could return again (she has been here previously on this visa) she cannot afford the fees, IHS and fund holding required as a pensioner, so I myself a...

Appointments are not available for April. Some members have seen appointments up to 13 Feb. There appears to be a delay in releasing appointments for some reason.

No, not necessary. It is fundamentally the same name. If it was substantially different, that would be a different story.

Re: Adult Dependant Visa for parent who is currently in the

This might sound harsh, but it is the reality. The government did not force you to come to the UK and leave your parents behind and of course you could move back or to another EU country as secret.simon advised which is a cheaper route (but one also under scrutiny by HO). The government has to contr...

Re: Can I apply 4 my children citizenship born and living ab

Your friend is wrong or someone is telling him nonsense.

You cannot register a child as British if they do not live in the UK and they were born abroad. The will need a visa, then ILR and only after that can they apply for British citizenship.

I understand that from your 'Yes' answer.
1. The approval letter will be delivered by the second class post.
2. I can use the same photo (during Naturalisation application) to passport application as well.
Yes and yes as long as the photo is not older than 6 months.

HO was correct in their refusal. The absences are substantially over the allowed limits. The first two years would be ignored due to not meeting the requirement.

She should still provide her absence details in the form as required and have a letter should this be asked for (assuming she is applying in person).
