Re: Travel with BRC through EU Settled Scheme

Yes! Now is a good time. From February 2, 2020 Schengen visas can be applied as early as 6 months prior to travel. And as previous comments above, the paperwork is simple indeed for family members of EU/EEA citizens [these rules still apply to UK until the last day of 2020]

Re: Schengen visa in Russia
I’ve just received my visa! I showed the reply from the embassy to visa centre, they still warned me papers can be simply refused to process. But 5 days later I’ve got a 3 years visit visa! Happy this is off my head for now
Awesome news indeed! As I surmised before, if the embassy ...

Re: Portuguese Citizenship

To obtain Portuguese citizenship from your father requires your US birth certificate, assuming you were born in the US, and parent's marriage certificate, and the details are simply copied from those certificates into a Portuguese birth certificate. So I reckon that means that your original US birt...

Re: Cyprus visit visa (Processed in 3 days)

I’m a non eu family member (Filipina) and my husband is British. We came to UK under Surinder Singh Route hence I hold a Residence card of an EU member and not the normal UK residence permit/card I usually travel without visa and had no problems or issues but because of the brexit issue I decided I...

Re: Multiple entry schenegan visa

Hi! As long as you have a valid Schengen visa, you can enter any Schengen State regardless of which state issued you the visa in the first place. Case in point: A number of years ago, I was issued a 90 days multiple entry Schengen visa by France. However I visited Greece and Italy only due to change...

Re: French employment visa and previous history

Hello Immigration enforcement is not the same in France as in the UK. When I use to live in France, I have seen undocumented migrant workers demonstrating when their work contracts in hand demanding residence cards for all. The guy at the airport probably let you go because if he wanted to follow t...

Re: Non-Eu spouse schengen visa for germany rejected

Hi, I am sorry that this has happened to you. It seems to me that the first application was done as an application for Schengen visa and not as national visa. The second application to Swiss authorities should have been a 'slam dunk' but then again it did not go through. Yours is one of the few case...

Re: Schengen visa in Russia
Thanks! As a matter of fact I've sent an email to German embassy in Russia, explaining my situation. I told them that I'm in Russia for 4 weeks and asked if I can apply. I also explained that both my property and my savings are in Russia as I've only been in England for 6 months now. Hence ...

Re: Schengen visa in Russia

This is rather unsettling as puts me into initially unfavorable situation with savings as London embassy only accepts savings in local banks. :| And, on top of other things, first available appointment is in a months’ time! Whereas I can just walk-in into visa centre in Russia and apply. Hi iwolga!...

Re: Bringing Chinese wife to UK

This would not be made from within the UK, but from Hong Kong. My wife is currently in Hong Kong (and she is a Mainland China citizen) while I am in the UK. I want to bring her here as soon as possible for 6 months without her having to go back to Hong Kong in April, when her current visa is due to...

Re: Schengen visa for NON-EU with EU Sponsor

Basically, my simple question is can my missus get a Schengen visa (longer than 6 months or upto 5yrs) if a friend of ours sponsor her who is a Dutch citizen. Theoretically she can. However there are number of factors that need to be considered. The usual are employment, insurance, country of origi...

Hi Iwolga, As a solicitor specialized in the Dutch law, I'd say that your question is legit. First, if you are married to a Dutch national you can apply for the naturalization outside the Netherlands provided you meet naturalisatie requirements ( see below a few example), in other words you do not ...

Re: Portuguese Citizenship

Well, you should get a lawyer in Portugal to check the laws pertaining your case. I am also inclined to think that your father will have to sign some kind of sworn affidavit that he is your dad. If you can do genetic test to verify the paternity that will be a huge criterion. However each country ha...

Re: Naturalisation in the NL

What I don't understand is one of the items in the documents checklist: A valid residence permit or other proof of lawful residence. Am I right in thinking that I don't need to have this one if I apply through exclusion (by being married to Dutch citizen)? Or at the moment of application I need to ...

The trips to Poland and Spain have been fully booked and I will bo...

I can't provide three months payslip as I am brand new on the job. I have just started a research position at ...

On employment, you say he is self employed and at the same time, he is working for his father's company. To cut the lon...

Booking an appointment is just that and you need to be prepared with the documents as the official website depicts. Should they ask anything more, you can give an explanation. Try to re...
