Hi,

Have you considered not showing up? As long as you are absent, there is no way they can process your information and visa for that matter.

Re: Travel to Prague with new British Passport

Thanks all for the reply. WIll take only British passport. My wife, who has more than two passports, had the same worry the first time she got a second passport even though her country has no qualms on multiple citizenship. I presume your worry is because India does not support dual citizenship. En...

Re: Schengen visas sudden death in case of no deal Brexit

I am also confused by this as it pertains to ONLY Schengen visas (under free movement). Theoretically any Schengen visa (under free movement) issued to non EU/EEA family members of UK citizens are the ones that will be affected as UK will no longer be a member of EU. As for non EU/EEA family members...

Hi, teckytop.

Awesome and very helpful read. This shows the importance of proper documentation and being a bit versed on the EU/EEA laws on free movement and entry procedures.

I would love to see many successful stories here from others. Kudos to you!

Re: Traveling to Netherlands by train on a spouse of a british citizen schengen visa without spouse

Hi, As per requirements, when you apply for a Schengen visa as a family member you, technically, need some sort of proof that you are traveling with your spouse, or you are going to join them. However, sometimes it just happens that these two conditions are hard to be met, especially when you alread...

Re: fastest way to get schengen visa

Oh! Didn't quite get the OP's meaning. In two days' time not so sure. It might depend on the circumstances - if it is an emergency and the consulate deems it as so. If you are a family member of EU/EAA citizen it can be easier as the visas are supposed to be issued as fast as possible. I had mine pr...

Re: fastest way to get schengen visa

Hi, I don't know why TLS will, specifically, state a submission date on August 1 whilst the Schengen visa application can be submitted as far back as 90 days before your intended travel date. Maybe due to the volume of applications depending on where you are applying (in India or UK). If France's Sc...

Re: schengen visa family

I do not think it will be a problem that you are not working now. The fact that you are a family member of Slovenian citizen means that you will get the visa in one way or another as long as you meet the requirements (these are often less stringent than if you are not an EEA/UE/CH family member). Th...

Re: France Visa Online Application Form

Based from what I know is that if you are applying as a family member of EU/EEA/CH citizens, you are not supposed to provide accommodation information. I can't say for a fact that France would demand such. Since they introduced the online application format, I haven't used it yet. However for applic...

I assume you mean the same thing but you are probably mixing two different things: 1. Family member of EU citizen (especially non-EU family members) and 2. their right of free movement within EU/EEA/CH. One never cease to be a family member (barring divorce etc) but their right of free movement are ...

You've lost me a bit: You are forgetting the most crucial part of the wordings - family member of an "EU" national. For the purpose of immigration, a UK national who is not in an another member state is not considered to be an EU national. A UK national is only considered as a "EU" when he is in ano...

You see, I was under the impression that it is under the IO decision to ask or not to ask. Your post made me research further and ask a couple of people who had the same experience. Turns out EU has a Practical Handbook for Border Guards (SchengenHandbook). In it there is a special chapter for how t...
