Re: NCS plus passport application

I'm not sure about using the online form, when applying through the JCAP scheme, as you wouldn't be applying online. I'd pickup a form from the post office.

Re: Complex question about 3C-Admin Review

So facts are, if you make an application while you have valid leave, leave expires while application with HO, you get refusal, with Admin Review, now whether you go for Admin Review or straight away make an application without going for Admin Review, in both scenario, your new application will be o...

Re: Is reapplication after admin review overstaying.

Thanks cs95tdg, Your assumptions are right. But I dont understand what you mean by "until a decision is made on your admin review". I am not opting for admin review, instead going fro fresh application. Ah, I misread the statement that you weren't applying for an admin review. As your leave has now...

Re: Is reapplication after admin review overstaying.

I thought I will give more information about the case. Visa applied on 13th May 2016. - is this the date you applied for ILR as a T1G Migrant? Visa expired on May 26, 2016 - is this the date that your T1G visa expired ? Home office refusal on 6th August So question is: If i reapply without going fo...

Re: Simultaneous Paid Engagement visa and 5-year visitor vis

According to the latest guidance below, it does not appear to be possible to hold two forms of entry-clearance at the same time. So based on this I suspect that his existing visa would be cancelled if the new is granted. https://www.freemovement.org.uk/new-entry-clearance-guidance-extant-leave-ecb22...

No, there shouldn't be. I did the same around 3 years ago. Ensure you supply the supporting documents for the B1 as your travel is business related and sponsored by your employer.

You can find all the necessary information here...

The most appropriate visa would appear to be a B1/B2.

Re: Can a sponsor withdraw to stop your immigration?

Yes, it's highly unlikely that a sponsor would be able to block your entry, as you put it. Casa has mentioned a valid point around the fact that, if they have a former sponsor mentioned on record, and they have doubts about your visit, then they may attempt to contact them. You haven't mentioned whe...

Re: Employment record as a full time PhD student?

Hello. My situation is this. I have been in UK since 1997 (when I was a child). My mother moved here with me then and claimed asylum approximately two weeks later after arriving in UK. Our country's passport allowed us to fly freely into UK (visa was not required). In 2004, me and my mother were gr...

Re: Employment record as a full time PhD student?

I was in UK since 1997 as a child (my mother claimed asylum). In 2004 I and my mother were granted ILR due to a government amnesty. I received this via a letter from Home Office. Together with ILR, I received a SEPARATE letter stating my NI number. These documents are separate, of course - I just m...

Re: ILR held for verification checks

Sorry but My question was not regarding the rational behind the verification etc. I have not read a lot of posts but I have come across a couple at least. They both said that HO did their verification on the same day and refused/granted the ILR. I thought they had the data available to them to veri...

Re: Employment record as a full time PhD student?

Perhaps because I received my NI number on a letter when I obtained my ILR back in 2004, and they haven't updated the records? (This letter is the only written document I ever had that states my NI number). Am slightly confused by this underlined statement, or it may be I'm misreading what you atte...

Re: Employment record as a full time PhD student?

Do I have to state NI contributions on my application? As far as I've seen its not required to be stated on the form. But if you read the AN form guidance (& if not Id suggest that you do so) you'll see it says you must provide details of all your NI contributions made for your current and previous...

Re: ILR held for verification checks

If you search this forum, you'll find endless experiences similar to your own. It's almost standard practice now for applicants with current or past self-employment that the HO will conduct independent verification checks with HMRC. This has mainly come about as a result of abuse of the system by th...

Re: Can a sponsor withdraw to stop your immigration?

I have a 5 year UK visa (multi entry) and recently lost contact with the original visa sponsor (general tourist). I have been also advice by a immigration adviser that counting of 28 day period start form date of AR decision maintained and not 2 working / calendar days after date of decision. If you take a look through page 22 in the linked guidance above, this is what it states.... Point 2 appears to be what'...

Re: British ceremony and travel

May I ask a follow-up question, for clarity? The BRP needs to be returned within 5 days of attendance of the citizenship ceremony or receipt of a certificate of citizenship. I am assuming that these are NOT the same things as the letter of acceptance. Not entirely sure what you mean by letter of ac...

Re: Employment record as a full time PhD student?

As you have a NI number, just a suggestion to verify if you have a HMRC NI contribution history over the last 10 years, even if you paid no taxes. You should be able to do this by registering online for a personal tax account using your NI number. You can then see if you have any NI contributions lo...
