You have asked a wrong question. You can apply when you want. The question should be whether it is likely that your application will be granted? First thing first, you have got to pass Life in the UK test. If you have 2 fixed penalties in 12 months preceding you application, then it will be refused,...

In appears that your father was a British Subject at the time of his birth. (Do not confuse British Subject of 1918 with British Subjects of present day, as the definition is totally changed.) It also appears that he did not become a British Citizen on 1st Jan 1983. In other words, due to the Britis...

The clear picture is that your child will be a British Citizen, simple.

For (almost) all practical purposes, BOC passport is just like a foreign (non eu) passport. BOC passport is just a passport like a Chinese, Indian, Indonesian passport. The word "British" in a BOC passport means nothing. Its good you have a solicitor, and I hope you have a good solicitor. Was just t...

Option # 3 is not the best option, it is THE only option you have. You can obtain a British passport in India, but as already mentioned, it will take much longer. But then you cannot apply for OCI in India, because one condition of applying OCI in India that you must have a valid visa whilst in Indi...

Happy New Year. One thing I must say that be assured that most likely be a veryyyyyyy long wait before you are able to go out of UK, with your wife for a honeymoon. Please don't be under the impression that just a marriage certificate will somehow magically solve the problem, because it won't. It se...

If your partner had declared his immigration history, then visa would have been granted and you would not have been in a puddle.

Lawyers in pakistan are idiots and crooks. Why on earth you would take advice on UK immigration matter from a pakistani pendu lawyer.

how much savings have you got?
also please bear in mind that you will have to be on DLA all the way until your partner spends 5 years in UK and gains ILR. If you come off dla then you or her or both comined will have to fulfill new financial requirement.

There is no speculation. I think you are causing too much discussion for no reason.

Previous year's tax return is required, with matching bank statements, simple.

Nothing less or more is required.

If you were born in SA, then you are automatically a British citizen by descent, as your mother was a " British Citizen otherwise than by descent" at the time of your Birth. If your mother never added your name to her passport, then still you are automatically British as I explained. You need to pro...

If you have savings in the following amount, you would be fine: £18,600 X 2.5 + £16,000 = £62,500 Actually having to think about this. When I applied I had savings of £70,000 so basically I would have passed the new rules straight away anyways. Since your employment is not recognised in ots current...

I think I have already given you enough info.
Anyone who has an unspent conviction cannot be granted ILR according to rules. Caseworkers have no discretion in this matter.

You have an unspent conviction, so now you can work out yourself.................
