Re: ILR - Employment earnings on SA302

Hi Karthik_513 I have a similar case where my earnings shown to HMRC is more than the earnings used for gaining points during my last Tier1G extension. This might be due to the difference of period for self assessment to HMRC and period used for extension to HO. In my case extension period used was ...

Re: What to do after ILR is refused due to tax discrepancy

Thanks geriatrix for your reply. I have found some links from gov.uk website to get the employment history. What to do after ILR is refused due to tax discrepancy

Hi chaps, These days, I am reading lots of post from guys having their ILR applications turned down due to tax discrepancies mainly the self-employed ones. There are cases where people inflated their earnings during past applications and paid less tax. Also, there are ones who thought their accounta...

Re: Point Based Calculator going away

Hi guys, There is no point in flogging the dead horse. Looking at the latest SET(O) Section 4, it is pretty much clear that you need to have an IELTS at Level B1 or a letter from UK NARIC plus a letter from your University (if outside UK) to prove your medium of instruction as English irrespective o...

Re: Point Based Calculator going away

Hi abhishek9, I have my ILR due in July this year. Even I am in a similar situation as you are but I had my IELTS test taken last year on 18-April-15 with level C1 which is more than what is required for ILR. I am not sure if I can use the same cert. or sit for a new one which satisfies ILR requirem...

Re: Point Based Calculator going away

Hi geriatrix, The reason I posted my queries on Tier 1(g) forum was because even though I would be applying for settlement, I still consider myself as Tier1(g) migrant. As abhishek9 pointed out it was much easier to address the issues where most of people are still Tier1 and will understand better t...

Re: Point Based Calculator going away

Hi abhishek9 Apologies, I misread it. Settlement & Citizenship applications will need SELT irrespective of the route. I was searching for Tier 1 (General) on that list. There is no reprieve as we will have to take IELTS Life Skills at level B1 as UK NARIC does not list Tier 1 (general). We just ...

Re: Point Based Calculator going away

Hi abhishek9, I may be wrong but have a look at the link below. Currently Tier1 (General) is not listed under ‘Which immigration routes require a SELT’ in FAQs for candidates. I believe applicants applying for settlement under Tier1 (General) route do not require SELT that’s why it’s not listed on U...

Re: Point Based Calculator going away

No replies yet.

Can I use my year old IELTS cert. or do I still need UK NARIC to assess?
Hoping to get a reply soon.

Thanks.

Re: Express Entry - Please clear my confusion

Hi tulipz, I had a similar query few months ago before I made my application. See link below. http://www.immigrationboards.com/canada-forum/jobs-under-canadian-express-entry-system-t198098.html Read points 1 and 2. Now I’d put it this way, why would CIC issue an ITA to someone without a job offer. A...

Hi

You don't really need an immigration consultant to apply. All the required information is very well given on the CIC website.

Re: Express Entry - Please clear my confusion

Hi tulipz, You wrote "I read on the website that invitations are being sent out for 470+ scores. Who gets 470+ out of max 500" ??? Where did you read this? I have been through the website with a fine toothed comb. There is nothing on CIC website which tells you this. I will be intrigued to...

Jobs under Canadian Express Entry System

Hi, I am lining up my ducks to apply for Canadian PR under express entry system. I have entered my details under ‘Come to Canada Tool’ and found that I am eligible to apply. Re: ILR Eligibility (Dependant)

Thanks Vinny

Unfortunately the response wasn’t loud and clear. Do you mean she can still be Tier1 dependant with me on ILR until she sees her ILR?

In fact it’s good news that I don’t have to go through the rigmarole of applying her visa and can directly apply for her residency when it’s due.

Re: UK-ILR / Canadian-FSWP

Thanks Wanderer I agree with your response and I am very well aware of this situation. My best bet would then be to apply for citizenship first and then move on. That does mean that I will have to wait longer to apply for Canadian residence. I have posted a query on the Canadian forum as well. Can I...

Hi iffi786

My first EC was after 6th April 2011. So it's 2+3+3 in my case.

It should be 3yrs in your case if it was after 6th April 2011.

Thanks
