Q1. Yes it is required. Its futile questioning the provision, I have been through so many times for the same.

Q2. Copies of original documents, not the originals.

Good luck.

I guess not. its as if they are trying to squeeze the maximum from you for the last time before you are never at mercy of GOI again Your guess is correct. Well you can try sending cheque or cash! If you read carefully on website of HCI/CGI it is clearly mentioned postal applications to have postal order payments only. Its altogether different issue it costs fortune for end users in fees to be paid to Post office. But as if GOI gives a care for it, and...

I have no personal experience of this case. However if your FIL was to carry your signed LOA to HCI/CGI and also proof to establish close family relative link then I see no issues. In recent posts I have seen someone noting agents in the oci queue or like that. Perhaps an explanation of not being ab...

Does it matter? Have Royal Mail Redirection from your old address to new address.

OCI is a mere visa, not an (overseas) address proof.

I have changed house since I have applied for OCI. Redirection in place. CGI has a SDE with old address in application.

Regards.

I believe if you are making Indian passport application for newborn in India, you need to get document from HCI/CGI in this regards which becomes travel document to reach India without passport for newborns.

Better check on official website of HCI/CGI where you reside.

Good luck.
