Re: Picture on Referee page

The picture can be glued to the box instead of stapling on to the page just to make sure they do not ask for another one to be submitted. This would be asking for trouble. They clearly specify " ...photograph stapled or clipped into the space provided ". Obviously this is so that they can remove it...

In that case, this must be a special rule only for new citizens by naturalization. I guess it may be applicable to the OP.

Here's an idea. Your wife could apply for a normal visitor visa. On arrival, you go to a register office in Ireland and get married again. A married person cannot marry again. That's my point: they could marry again in Ireland because apparently they are deemed not to be married. If the registrar r...

This should be no problem as your claim to British citizenship is via naturalisation and not descent. The OP...

I suggest you contact them first, using the freedom of information act to seek for information about your records or something I am not too sure, but the Visa or Home Office need to provide the records store for all the visa applications that you have made. There is no point in only writing to the HO. If they bother to reply at all, I bet they won't tell you anything useful. Contact your MP at the same time to ask him/her to chase up the HO.

How on earth would you go to a person for a reference and ask him, do you have a conviction. The best way is to send potential referees the form and instructions when asking whether they will act as referee. As the form says, " Your referees should read page 11 of the guide to confirm that they are...
