I have had a re-look at the UKBA website and the document itself. There is a statement which says as an example (not in exact words) that tier 2 applicants who has proven as part of initial application need not have to prove again. My prudence dictates that the same would imply for Tier 1 as well. ...

ILR for wife

Hello all, I was just wondering if someone could help me in this or if they have any personal experience related to this issue. I was on HSMP/Tier-1 (PBS) from 2007 and my ILR was due last year in July 2012. My wife joined me in April 2011 as dependent of Tier-1 (Tier-1 Partner visa). Her visa was a...

How about people like me who had scored 7.5/ 9 in IELTS and language is like a motor-able skill. The more you practice, the more proficient you become.... I scored 8.0 in IELTS back in 2008 but obviously cannot submit it as it has expired. I have booked FCE exam in August as I don't want to waste t...

Re: Are these British policy makers are Stupid?

I am seriously appalled to learn about this new English requirement for Naturalization. I mean how daft they can get asking us to pass a stupid B1 test to prove our language ability. How come are we working here for last 5 years at good positions without knowing English? also how did we pass LIUK te...

Thanks Koll. This is what I thought as well. Obviously I have met English requirement on the basis of my 4-year degree (NARIC Equivalent) in my previous applications so it should be ok now. • Those who have obtained a degree taught in English. I would love to hear more on this if anyone else has dif...

Finally!

Finally after a wait of 6 months and 2 weeks, I got my ILR. I was thinking about involving my MP but I didn't. To be honest I don't think involving MP will do you any good as UKBA will take their time. One piece of advice - don't panic and have patience. It will eventually come whether you panic or ...

Just wondering what everyone has in mind for set (o) applications since it's coming up to 6 months now for many of us. I was thinking of lodging an official complaint against the UKBA standards of service, but if and only if it crosses the 6 month limit. I was thinking of getting a petition signed ...
