Were you employed in the UK during those 8 months? that might strengthen your case. I'd think you need to send such an application by post and with as much supporting documents as possible.

Section 1 (3) as I understand it is for kids born in the UK whose parents subsequently obtain ILR. Were all the kids born in the UK? Any kids who were born outside of the UK can be applied for at the same time you apply for naturalisation but not before.

Re: HSMP, lost job - what about ILR?

Well, on Thursday I lost my job (I was made redundant) :( I'm eligible to apply for ILR (under the terms of HSMP JR) in February 2010. So far since February 2009 I earned 29000 pounds (before tax) - do you think this will be enough for ILR? I do hope to find something else until February, but the m...

You can mention the total of salary plus dividend with a notation saying " comprises x salary and y dividend" for example.

Fr the HSMP portion of your stay ensure you have P60s or statements of earnings from your employer for each tax year.

I had a long absence in my first year on HSMP, so I claimed my qualifying period for ILR as starting when I returned to the UK from that long absence. During my qualifying period I had roughly 60 days absence in total.

thanks John, that'll be November then. My spouse will be able to meet the "physically present 5 years ago" test if he applies in the next few weeks however. If my spouse applies now, would our minor child whose entry and exit dates are exactly the same as mine be able to apply at the same or is it b...

I am in a similar position, I was surprised when they gave me a back dated letter to the date of my initial approval rather than the date at which I told them I was counting my qualifying period from (I had an over 90 days absence in my first year so I stated the date of my return to the UK after th...

ILR success

By God's grace, my ILR application was successful based on ILR JR. Documents requested; 1. P60 for each of the 4 years 2. Recent Payslips or letter from employer for ( I think this was required for last 3 months only, but don't recall exactly) 3. Passport, application form and photos Documents I pro...

You can get a Chiltern railways train from London Marylebone to Solihull station, from there it is a short 10-15 minute's walk to the PEO, print a map of the area before you get there as there are no signs directing you to the PEO like it is in Croydon.

Hi

1. When exactly does her HSMP visa expire
2. How long has she been in the UK on HSMP?
3. Does she not have any bank accounts anywhere else the combination of which amounts to the required amount?

Hi VJ Your questions are a bit off topic here but. 1. There is no minimum salary for ILR based on HSMP, you need to prove that you have been economically active throughout your stay (P45s, employer letters, payslips bank statements will do as evidence) 2. it shouldn't matter that your account goes i...

Nationals of certain countries are required to register with the police and I believe they need to inform the police when they change address. If you are required to register with the police, it should say so on your visa. don't know that you are required to inform UKBA however

Hi, was your application successful? I called up HO and was told that they have limited weekend appointments for single ILR applicants only and was wondering if I could apply for ILR for myself (HSMP) then apply for dependents later on.

Your wife doesn't need a seperate form. Assuming that she is currently in the country as your dependant. You fill out the Set(O) form and include her as a dependant. You do not need to show proof of your living together either ( I am again assuming you are applying based on the HSMP Forum ILR JR) a ...

You are normally able to apply for ILR 28 days before you comeplete 5 years, so I am not sure why you think you will have a problem. From the dates you have given, you should be able to apply as at the 2nd of July 2009

I don't know that there are any non 0870 numbers that you can call them on nowadays, you could try using your mobile phone although obviously it will cost you extra. One other lady I spoke with at the HO this morning told me that they cannot take appointments for 4 years ILR on HSMP, I assume she is...

Just tried to book an appointment myself. They did tell me about the £1020 + £50 for each dependent fee as well. Unfortunately there are no appointment slots anywhere (this was shortly after 10 this morning). I was advised that I could try again tomorrow but to do so at 9.00 am as they go quickly....

Does he qualify for a tier1 visa? I know it is tough finding a new job especially one that will offer a workpermit but having a plan B is a sensible option, hopefully he will still be in his current job till August, but he should also try and explore other options.
