Re: ILR Fees 2017-2018

Sorry if this is the wrong place for this comment.....

Am I reading incorrectly or is it correct that fee for naturalisation had been reduced from £1236 to £1202 ........ seems like I am reading something wrong.

Re: Actual experience on using language for ILR after 2013 o

irrespective of the fact that you have proved English and LIUK at ILR stage, you will have to prove it again at Naturalisation stage. The Option asking if you have obtained ILR after Oct 2013 (and this is my Guess/ Understanding) ..... if you have obtained ILR before OCT 2013, then you will need LIU...

Re: Absence excess 6 (456)days- 5 year qualifying period

Hi, I haven't applied yet but have booked an appointment with the Council. While booking the appointment they asked about the absences in last 5 years which in may case are 476 days. These are due to business travels. So they have asked me to get a letter from the employer regarding the business tra...

Re: Assistance request - Completing Naturalisation Applicati

Mian, Thanks a lot for your response. Speed Awareness Course is not a FPN or a PCN and does not go on a person's record. So now the question is not whether to disclose it or not, rather the question is where to disclose it on the form. In my opinion Criminal offence section is clearly not the right ...

Assistance request - Completing Naturalisation Application

Hi Everyone, Hope everyone is having a good weekend. I have a few questions and I am sorry if these questions had been previously answered on the forum. Form AN Life in the UK test (ref Sec 1.22) - I did my LIUK test before I got ILR, means that it had my previous BRP number on it. When I got ILR, I...

Re: speeding awareness course

Coldwinter,

I was about to complete my naturalisation form and I just looked at FORM AN. And on this form there is no space to disclose a speed awareness course.
Shall we disclose it on page 22 - Additional Info?

Let me know what do you think.
Thanks

When to request a NCS Appointment

Hi Everyone, I tried to get an appointment for myself and my wife (probably that would be 2 appointments) for April 2017 from the Windsor & Maidenhead Council (also tried Surrey). They both said, it is too early to book an appointment and I should try sometime in March. Do we know how much in advanc...

Re: Citizenship and the 450 days limit

Hi, In addition to answers by Char and Noajthan, I would add is that as per Chapter 18, Annexure B, clause 4.1.1 absences totalling 480 days are normally disregarded. If absences are in excess of that, then still discretion may be applied. For details please refer to Chapter 18 Annexure B. Hope this...

Hi SK, Sorry to read what happened to you. I will try to make a few clarifications which might help you focus on the core of the issue. Airline: Airline issued you with the boarding card .... right? ..... therefore they did not denied you to travel and if it was not for the immigration folks, you wo...

Char,

Thanks a lot for your help :)

Yes we got the affidavit from SA Embassy in London. I will also get the copies of ID docs certified. It is just going into SA. On the way back we will be travelling together so shouldn't be an issue.

Many thanks

Micz8, A British company cannot keep you on their payroll if you don't have the right to live and work in UK. So for example, you cannot be an expat sitting and working in for e.g. BP South Africa office while on Payroll of BP UK if you didn't had the right to work in UK. Reading your message it see...
