Re: Latest approvals table

That's great and good to see how busy it has been. Can you add December in as well, it doesn't seem like there have been many applications in that month (says the person impatiently waiting on a December application...) I guess people are waiting for fees to be taken before posting timeline....

Re: Working from India for company in UK - is it possible?

My real real question is, is it possible (legal) to work from India for a company in the UK for the long term. I will try to get professional advice as well. You still are an Indian citizen before naturalisation ceremony.. and hold ILR in UK, so legally you are entitled to work in both the countrie...

Re: November 2013 - Naturalization Application Timeline

I was advised by the NCS Wandsworth officer when I applied that my application would take longer due to the October backlog, but still wasn't expecting it to be 6 weeks later with still no fees debited, or acknowledgement letter received! There are applicants on 24th/25th Oct who's fees neither yet...

I haven't heard of that... but let me tell you one thing, take the date whatever is coming your way... private/public take it... I'm expectin...

Re: Worried

You should receive an acknowledgment letter between 4-6 weeks after we received your application. During busy periods this may even take 7 weeks as payment will take longer to clear. It is quite possible your application is still waiting payment to clear and acknowledgement is only sent once this o...

Whilst respecting your understandable anxiety, these are not 'normal' times. To put it in context, in this forum we've had almost double the number of reports of applications for that single week (Oct 21-26) compared to the entire time since then. We are going to see some abnormally long processing...

Has anyone contacted home office regarding payments for 23rd Oct onwards applicants in last couple of days? Any meaningful response ( other than standard 2-4 weeks& busy times 7 weeks)? It's going to be 6 weeks tomorrow. That's awful time just to acknowledge, just to take payment. ..

Re: No Wonder May wants to scrap UKBA

I mean come on 6 weeks just to debit an account, that's highly inefficent. Wait for 2 more weeks, Xmas holidays are coming up.. I'm fearing worst now... Home Office will now try to process as many EXISTING applications as possible (those are received on/before 25th Oct) before going on Xmas holiday...

It's amazing to see how less applications are reported throughout Nov till now, most probably people are still waiting for fees to be deducted before posting timeline. Having said that, Dec has already started & still no fees are yet deducted for applicants on/after 23rd Oct that too considering Hom...

Re: 23-25th OCt applicants

Hi All, It looks that none of the applicants from 23-25OCT had their payment taken within this week. If anyone has please share. Thanks that's true, and I don't expect anything until week starting 2nd Dec either, I think most of the case workers are now working towards approvals rather than loading...

I just think there is no science on this and an application could be on top or bottom of a pile depending timings for receiving it. Caseworkers would also decide to take from one pile or another without real logic. On this way there is a pattern of dates and timings to deal with an application but ...

That makes me even more nervous as the fees were debitted based on a form after the 28.10.13 don't be... It seems that they really haven't looked at applications after 28th Oct with possibly few exceptions.. (e.g pqek) Looks like they want to sort out most (possibly all) before touching applications with new rules. Thanks p2kin. The problem is I don't want to submit originals at all. I'll wait and see how this pans out in the next few weeks. You still have an option of submitting via solicitor, they'll certify copies of your original documents & you can keep originals. Just that you'll have to pay them bit mo...
