Re: Doodo

Alright ... Are the MPs helpful though? I have never used them I don't know what to do to be honest. The process got delayed by 6 weeks due to moving home etc so I would say it has been 5 months now. Anyway usually people getting ilr in less than 6 months. Could you please drop me the full address w...

I am not a legal expert. But from the question 99% it sounds like in one leave. they would phrase it differently if it meant collectively on more than one leave, if they did that i think it is harsh as you could go to spain for 3 weeks every summer and that means you exceeded your limit by the 5 yea...

I made a mess with the biometric and I think this could be another reason. Although I did not miss my dead line, but I did my biometric and my wife's biometric did not come so I rang them and they sent after 4 weeks another invitation for her. After she did her biometric by one week we both received...

Re: Doodo

Doodo did you say that you have applied back july last year and you did not get any response yet, then why don't you call the immigration line and ask them to provide the update of your application because you have passed their specified time line. I am still in confusion to understand how the UKBA...

Hello, Hope all goes well. Too early to start chasing up. It might take up to 4 months before you hear anything from them. By the end of Feb I would chase them if there is nothing has come. Just make sure that if you change address you fill the online form. Other than that chill and relax .. I know ...

what is the waiting times called ? I mean from the time of LLR to ILR issue date? illegal resident? it has to be under something. For example my residency expired over 4 months ago, so what I am living under? Also why did they back date my LLR when I received it? and not the ILR? Obviously we need t...

Hi babe_khyber, all good, cheers. hope you are well too. I am not a legal expert but what I mentioned is what I heard from people. Ask around or for better consult a solicitor. But logically, the ILR should start from the expiry of the limited no matter when the ILR issued. I hope this helps and if ...

Well, I don't think that is good thing to say. You possibly wanted me to say yes you can apply straight away after you get ilr, but that is not what I found out unfortunately otherwise I would love to hear that too.

All the best and good luck for you and for all of us.

It clearly states you have to have one year on settlement (ILR) then you can apply, I looked into it on the ho website and found it written somewhere. I know the general rule says 5years but that is only if you were granted ILR from the start whether you were received the ILR through refugee applica...

congratulations ... all the best.

I think you are entitled to apply for citizenship in July-2013. As your ILR on paper starts from the time when the limited leave to remain runs out. This is what someone told me and this is something to look into. Please let us know if this is true.
