Re: Naturalisation Application No Reply

I think you will be very lucky to have fee deducted within 5 days. It is currently taking on average 3 to 4 weeks to deduct the fee and receiving the acknowledgement/bio-metrics request letter. So don't worry just yet.....

English Language Clarification

Hi all, I am confused by some of the posts here in regards to meeting English language requirement at level B1. I am a British citizen (through naturalisation) and my wife came to the UK in Dec 2012 under spouse visa for 27 months (old rules). She was granted ILR in Nov 2014 so now she will be apply...

Re: LIUK certificate number

Its indeed a silly question. The number is written on the top right hand corner of the certificate for Test Instance ID.

All the other numbers are either for supervisor or Test Center .

It stands for "National Identity Card for Overseas Pakistanis" You can book an appointment online with Pakistan embassy. Your wife needs to attend the appointment with her Pakistani Passport and Pakistani ID Card (Computerised). You will receive the card within 4 weeks and it has a longer validity t...

She don't need to extend her Pakistani passport. She can apply for NICOP and use it with her British passport when travelling to Pakistan as it allows visa free entry.

Re: investigation letter from home office.

The original poster is not responding so that means its a load of bull****. They have no right to ask us where we are living after we become British. I know we say in the form that we will make UK our permanent home but that doesn't mean we cant move to any other country. If they start to do that it...

Re: Never work or paid taxes...

Just put in her Tax reference number in the form. Home office can check that she had no tax obligations. If i were you i wouldn't even put in the reference number and put in unemployed/housewife as she has never worked in the UK.

Re: British citizenship/naturalisation fee

You surely being naive here. May be your friends applied few decades ago. I cant remember it being £80-£100. It definitely is £1005 this year.

May be your friends are confusing it with British passport rather then nationality.

Re: Employee ---> Self-Employed

You dont need to provide any P60's or self assessment returns if you are employed or self-employed. In both cases you just need to provide your tax reference number. Home Office can check from that reference number whether your tax affairs are in order or not.

Re: Proof of Tax Paid and CGT

Thank you! Apologies for the further queries.... In regards to my investment property, I mistakenly never paid tax on the rent earned and was planning to coordinate this with my accountant and declare it in my tax return, which as you say isn't due until Jan 2016. If I don't submit the tax return u...

Re: Proof of Tax Paid and CGT

Thank you so much for you answer! I mention the Capital Gains tax as it was an investment property I was not living in, and I cannot claim it as a lived in property, so have to pay the tax (I have checked this with an accountant). Are you saying that I should submit this tax return for this CGT BEF...

Re: Documents for MN1 without NCS checking

You would be silly not to use NCS. Not necessarily. Making the application by post is perfectly fine and saves you 100£ The only thing that you need to send is the birth certificate of your child and your ILR approval proof. For ILR approval proof, you can send the approval letter that you got when...

Re: Documents for MN1 without NCS checking

You would be silly not to use NCS. It doesn't have to be your local council. You can book any council which has early appointments.

I doesn't have to be both parents passport and ILR. One will do.

Don't need to send Marriage Certificate.

Ifti - Whilst i agree with you that there should have been no need to send degree again since it was submitted at the time of ILR. However, HO makes their own rules and if you read the guidance it clearly says degree must be sent. Also application form has option to tick "KOLL was met after 28th oc...
