Re: Never work or paid taxes...

Just put in her Tax reference number in the form. Home office can check that she had no tax obligations. If i were you i wouldn't even put in the reference number and put in unemployed/housewife as she has never worked in the UK.

Re: British citizenship/naturalisation fee

You surely being naive here. May be your friends applied few decades ago. I cant remember it being £80-£100. It definitely is £1005 this year.

May be your friends are confusing it with British passport rather then nationality.

Re: Employee ---> Self-Employed

You dont need to provide any P60's or self assessment returns if you are employed or self-employed. In both cases you just need to provide your tax reference number. Home Office can check from that reference number whether your tax affairs are in order or not.

Re: Proof of Tax Paid and CGT

Thank you! Apologies for the further queries.... In regards to my investment property, I mistakenly never paid tax on the rent earned and was planning to coordinate this with my accountant and declare it in my tax return, which as you say isn't due until Jan 2016. If I don't submit the tax return u...

Re: Proof of Tax Paid and CGT

Thank you so much for you answer! I mention the Capital Gains tax as it was an investment property I was not living in, and I cannot claim it as a lived in property, so have to pay the tax (I have checked this with an accountant). Are you saying that I should submit this tax return for this CGT BEF...

Re: Documents for MN1 without NCS checking

You would be silly not to use NCS. Not necessarily. Making the application by post is perfectly fine and saves you 100£ The only thing that you need to send is the birth certificate of your child and your ILR approval proof. For ILR approval proof, you can send the approval letter that you got when...

Re: Documents for MN1 without NCS checking

You would be silly not to use NCS. It doesn't have to be your local council. You can book any council which has early appointments.

I doesn't have to be both parents passport and ILR. One will do.

Don't need to send Marriage Certificate.

Re: Naturalisation (English Requirements URGENT)

Ifti - Whilst i agree with you that there should have been no need to send degree again since it was submitted at the time of ILR. However, HO makes their own rules and if you read the guidance it clearly says degree must be sent. Also application form has option to tick "KOLL was met after 28...

Re: Return of documents

Why on earth you didn't use NCS if you were in the process of finding/being offered a job. I would always recommend using NCS as you can always end up with a situation where you need to travel urgently. I don't think you can ask for your documents back as they will treat it as a withdrawal of applic...

When you say 3 years residence i presume you applied as spouse/partner of British citizen. You applied on 10th March and by looking at your absences you were out of the country from 20-04-2012 to 06-05-2012 so you should be okay meeting the residential requirements

Re: Effect of speed points by court on Naturalization Applic

I don't know what is the problem here. If you accepted that you were driving and you got penalty points and fine then there will be no rejection but if you challenged it and went to court and then you were proven guilty then definitely a rejection.

Simple!!!

I just dont get this new biomatrics requirement. How many times they will have the biomatrics done. You do at ILR stage, you do at british passport stage when you go to the interview and they take your finger prints and now this requirement at naturalisation stage. Its just introducing ways to get m...
