Hi, folks - Just thought I'd give a wee update - I got ILR ! Never have to look at that damned SET(O) form again. Re: GOT ILR @ Glasgow PEO

Thanks GOD, Today I got ILR at Glasgow PEO. I would like to thanks all who share their questions and success story. The experience was very good at Glasgow PEO and the staff was polite and helpful at Glasgow. Only few people were there to apply for visa. I saw only 11 people in total until 2:30 PM....

I was wondering whether the immigration solicitor or adviser can influence UKBA's decision on ILR application?
How can they help to get a positive decision (at decision stage during your interview at PEOs)?
Does anyone have any experience with this?

On 1 April 2013 the UK Border Agency was split into two separate operational units within the Home Office. UK Visas and Immigration and Immigration Enforcement .However, I noticed that the name ( UKBA) still in use.
Which name should be used today? any update.

Re: ILR funds maintenance

But just in case In case of what? You know it's not necessary so your question seems puerile on that basis. BUT from SET(O) Section 11 Documents/ your finances page47..it says; Evidence of your finances. If you have to complete section 5, bank statements, building society savings book(s), pay slips...

Many thanks for your reply. I was just wondering whether this situation (unemployed dependent and Tenant) has an affect on ILR application when evaluating your home and finances ( section 5 of the form).

Please advise

ILR, Dependant and Job !?

Can the dependent of a PBS visa holder (Tier 1 G) who has completed 5 years in the UK with the main applicant apply for ILR at the same time as the main applicant if such a dependent is out of work or doesn't have paid job prior to applying for their ILR ?

Please advise

All three options are possible, subject on how your absences are spread out over the preceding 5 years. Option 2 should be safest for a PEO application. Postal Option 3 will give you a right of appeal , if refused after expiry of leave. If someone has not exceeded their allowance i.e. only 50 days ...

You have entered the vicious circle of deferred cases I am afraid. Sorry to hear about this. I am struggling with my case which was straight forward like you as well. And I applied at Cardiff PEO as well. And I was told exactly the same thing as you. PRECISELY THE SAME WORDS. As long as you have no...

Stokbrig I kept asking them about the nature of security checks but they wouldn't clarify anything. I just can't think of anything wrong or missing in my application. I just have one non-endorsable fixed penalty notice for parking (no points on license). I was told by UKBA customer service that it ...

Hi I applied for ILR today at Cardiff PEO. My case was very straightforward. Came to the UK on HSMP, then extended into Tier 1. I Have been employed throughout the period of my stay. Out of the UK for a total of only 66 days. Now the problem is, after waiting for about 6 hours the case worker said ...

Congratulations Ali and many thanks for sharing your experience.
couple of questions please;
1-Can you advise on the best method for filing documents and what kind of folder should be used.
2-I've had only 7 days outside UK during Christmas holiday in 2009,what should I do?

Thanks in advance

looks like visa processing previously had taken much longer for you, is that the reason why you have so much leave remaining after finishing the 5th anniversary on T1 ? since leave under 3C is counted as legit, no other documentation is required, i agree with the advisers that you can apply 28 days...
