Hi I applied for ILR today at Cardiff PEO. My case was very straightforward. Came to the UK on HSMP, then extended into Tier 1. I Have been employed throughout the period of my stay. Out of the UK for a total of only 66 days. Now the problem is, after waiting for about 6 hours the case worker said ...
Congratulations Ali and many thanks for sharing your experience.
couple of questions please;
1-Can you advise on the best method for filing documents and what kind of folder should be used.
2-I've had only 7 days outside UK during Christmas holiday in 2009,what should I do?
looks like visa processing previously had taken much longer for you, is that the reason why you have so much leave remaining after finishing the 5th anniversary on T1 ? since leave under 3C is counted as legit, no other documentation is required, i agree with the advisers that you can apply 28 days...
I think you can,however,I've read different stories about this issue ( when you still have extant leave)! I would suggest you to contact the border agency to get a confirmation and please let us know. good luck Spoke to a couple of advisors from Immigration Enquiry Bureau this morning and they said...

I 'm going to apply for ILR after 5 years in the UK as HSMP and Tier 1 general migrant. I've had only 7 days outside UK during Christmas holiday in 2009.
Do I need a letter from my employer about this 7 days? if so, what should they say?
Congratulations and many thanks for sharing your experience.

2-How do you rate the service at Croydon and do you recommend it?
Hi, I hold a BRP since Feb 2013 (No remarks on it) after applying for ILR in Aug 2012 based on refugee status was given in 2007. I have an expired British Travel Documents (Blue) which was returned by the Home Office along with BRP card in this travel document stated clearly not to travel to Iraq a...
’’ UKBA’s IT systems are often incompatible and are not reliable enough. They require manual data entry instead of automated data collection, and they often involve paper files instead of modern electronic case management. So I have asked the Permanent Secretary and Home Office Board to produce a ne...
According to the home secretary the UKBA’s problems boil down to four main issues. •First, the sheer size of the Agency means it has conflicting cultures, and all too often focuses on the crisis in hand at the expense of other important work. •Second, its lack of transparency and accountability. •T...

I am 99.9% sure of what I am writing about. You don't need to show co-habitation docs if you were already married and applied for your T-1 (G) visa before arriving the UK. When I applied for ILR, I had all the co-hab docs, and the CW did not ask for them. Before I left after been successful, I asked...

.... Do you think that staff at Croydon can deal with complex cases more efficiently and professionaly than other PEOs? thanks Depends on your definition/situation of complex, efficiency and professionalism. If your case is utterly complex, they will probably hold your application and tell you they...
Congratulations. great to hear success stories which run smoothly at Glasgow as it looks easier to get an appointment at this PEO than others. How did you find Glasgow PEO's staff.I read somewhere that they don't have senior professional staff so even a simple case looks complex to them! please adv...

I believe the intention is to take the £100 fee when booking. This is to prevent profiteers from harvesting multiple slots and selling on for an inflated fee. It will also stop an applicant from booking multiple appointments while they make up their mind which date they prefer. :? you are absolutel...
