Hi, I have a total of 5 absences from the UK. Of these five absences, I have letters from employers for 4 absences. However, for one of the absences, I was not employed at that time. I have four options as below. Can you please shed light on which option is best. Amber, your viewpoint would be very ...

Hi, If someone could help with the following that would be much appreciated. Section 5.3 asks for pay each month after tax. Should I put in the average salary of the whole year or the latest salary from the payslip? Section 6.11 asks for absences spent outside the Crown Dependencies and the UK. Is t...

Change of Job

Hello everyone,

I will be applying for ILR in January 2015. I am in the process of changing jobs at the moment. I was wondering if this will in any way affect my ILR application? Is there anything else I would need to be mindful of?

Regards.

Re: Section 11L for SET(O) confusion

Thanks for the clarification guys. One quick follow up:

Should I leave these fields as blank or draw a line through the section to show not applicable?

Section 11L for SET(O) confusion

Section 11L for Tier 1 General also states that For the period before you were granted leave as a Tier 1 (General) migrant, documents showing that you met the relevant requirements of the immigration rules. Can someone please clarify, what is this about and what is to be provided for this? Thanks.

Re: Breaking continutity

Riz,

Brilliant idea. I will make sure I have the evidence to prove that I had the job before I left the country. The other point is that I had extra days of leave available from the original company which were paid to me on the day I left in advance. That should cover that as well.

Thanks.

I am in a similar situation and my understanding is that it DOES break continuity. However, they are quite lenient. I am quite worried.

Re: holiday outside the uk

Casa,

What is the deal for spouses? Can they spend more than 90 days outside the UK in the last year? Also, it seems that the SET (O) form asks for a lot of information for the main applicant but none for the spouse. Is this correct or do I need to fill out a separate SET (O) form for the spouse?

Possessions held by custom

While coming back from a holiday in 2011, I had a few milk products with me that were held by customs at the airport on the premise that milk products are not allowed into the country. I was asked to fill in and sign a particular form as well but don't remember what this was. The lady at the airport...

Re: Cohabitation with change of address

The form is SET (O) form. It mentions cohabitation but doesn't specify for every address or just in general over 2 years.

Any advice?

Cohabitation with change of address

During my three years with my wife, we have lived in 4 different places.

Do I need to provide cohabitation proof for each location or can I show cohabitation proof for 3 of the four?

Re: English Language Requirements- ILR -

So just to confirm, if your degree is on the PBC and it is awarded 10 points, then all you need is a printout of your PBC calculations.

If this is not correct, please let us know Amber.

If I had a case but I managed to settle it outside of court, does that affect my ilr application? Will that be on my CRB or any other place? Do I need to report this on the ILR form?

I am in the same boat as you and very worried about it.

I was changing jobs at the time and I left my job on 31 March, 2012 and went to Pakistan for holiday. I then came back on 15th April to start work. Unfortunately, I am also unsure what to do.
