Re: Cancelling PSC appointment

We may not have all our documents and have an unresolved issue. Thanks for confirming what I thought was true!

Cancelling PSC appointment

It is possible we may have to cancel our PSC appointment. If we do so 5 days before the appointment date, I understand we will be reimbursed all the payments. So I presume, if we choose to use the postal route, we pay for IHS and the visa again? That is, you cannot transfer payment from the PSC appo...

Immigration appeal laws 2016

With the laws tightening up i should be grateful if someone could advise on the following please. I am not sure that if your application to remain either for FLR or for ILR is refused and an out of country appeal only is allowed, how long is the applicant given to leave the U.K.? Is it 28 days from ...

My husband has always been allowed to come through the EU line with me, the BC. We always ask one of the people who direct the lines though.

Re: FLR (M) extension

I am not sure. If you actually cancel the appointment I think you probably get reimbursed for everything including IHS (they say within four weeks) as long as you do it more than five days before. However, if you reschedule the appointment then you would not have to pay again. Hopefully someone else...

No, you do not fill in that section unless you are exempt from meeting the financial requirements. 'You only need to complete this section if: (i) You qualify for an exemption from meeting the income threshold element of the nancial requirement. (ii) You were granted leave to enter or remain as a pa...

Re: Re-application after refusal using PEO. Please advise!

I think it is not usually advised to attend a PEO appointment if there are any complications or previous refusals as it means the staff have to investigate further and therefore cannot give a decision on the same day.

Re: How recent Docs? Land reg Title deeds.

I understand that the deeds do not have to be dated within the 28 day period but when we apply later this year, I will just download a new copy. For £3 it is worth it!

Re: FLR(M) use of N/A (mechanical question)

I would just leave any boxes that are not relevant blank. I doubt it matters if a tick or letter goes slightly outside the box but, like you, I would worry! So I would try and make sure you keep all ticks, marks and letters within the box!

Re: VAF4A Questions different on form to Electronic Applicat

I am not sure what you are asking. Where are you applying from? You fill out the online application form and when you have completed and paid for it etc, you print it out and submit. Yes, it is slightly different from the paper VAF4A.

Re: Transactions in bank statements to demonstrate finances

As long as you show your salary being paid in that confirms your payslips, there is no need to show your outgoing payments. Many people use separate accounts to manage their finances and UKVI are only interested in your income.

OK. I always felt that the answer to the first question would be NO as you have already applied for a visa but apparently it is YES because you have not previously applied for an extension! It really is not clear. Definitely the first option as you were previously given leave to enter, not leave to ...

Re: filling the FLR(M) application

As I understand it, if you tick 6.6 as yes, you go straight to 6.16, in which case you do not have to answer the question of whether you could live outside the Uk if necessary. Am I wrong in this?

Re: Cash savings: Who's?

If you are applying using savings, that is the only information you should give. If you start giving information on salary or pensions, that could get very confusing for the ECO.

When we applied we used two fixed deposit accounts which also allowed instant access. We asked the two banks to write letters confirming our account details and stating that we had immediate withdrawal access to the accounts.

Re: flrm-bank statment

As I understand it, as long as the statement is posted to you, it is acceptable. If you print it yourself, the bank would need to either stamp each page or write a letter to confirm the details of your account and the transactions on the statement. Sadly, many banks no longer stamp statements.

Re: FLR (M) Extension success at Croydon PSC

I have seen on another forum that they are now dating the BRP from the date of expiry of current visa. Hopefully the OP will let us all know the date on his BRP when it arrives as it is important, as stated , to make sure applicants have five years residence when applying for ILR.

We used savings which were in fixed deposit accounts but the banks wrote letters to confirm that the fixed deposit could be broken at any time with penalty and our money could be immediately accessed at any time.
