Re: UKVCAS Super Priority Service

Top My husband applied for ILR on basis of marriage to British citizen after completing 5 years on the spousal visa (FLM) route. We opted for the new process with UKVCAS and entering biometrics at local center. After we submitted ILR application, we were able to immediately create an account with U...

Re: UKVCAS Super Priority Service

I hope that someone who has recently applied for SET (M) will advise but I found this in a similar post concerning the declaration/consent form on this forum. Maybe if no one advises, it would be good to fill it out and when you go for your appointment, ask the staff at Sopra Steria if it should be ...

Re: UKVCAS Super Priority Service

Can you share the reference for this? The delays may be due to an unexpected number of applicants using the super priority option and the resulting number of applications to process. Plus it seems there may have been a glitch in the system over a few days. Decisions seem to be coming in quicker now...

Re: SET (M) Life in the UK

I can only comment based on posts I have seen on this forum but firstly, I was under the impression that documents are checked at the Sopra Steria appointment. It seems your weren’t ? I have also read that documents could be uploaded until 10pm the same day as the appointment. So it should be fine i...

HMRC letter acknowledging amendment to tax return

I hope I am worrying unnecessarily but I often read of tax amendments causing a problem with ILR applications. We submit our tax returns by June every year using the paper form as we were non resident for many years. This year, when my husband called in October as he had heard nothing about his tax ...

Re: UKVI Digital Changes, No PEO/PSCs from October 2018?

I practised with my own passport at only 75 dpi and it was pretty clear. As there are no stamps I would probably scan at 75 dpi on all the blank pages and a higher resolution for the bio pages, etc.

Re: New Appointment Centre UKVCAS

I seem to recall reading that if you cancel, you have to book again and may lose any payment you made but not sure that was a certainty. However, I think you may well be worrying unduly and you will get an early appointment when you apply, keeping in mind though that the holiday will eliminate a cou...

Re: New Appointment Centre UKVCAS

I don’t know which area you live in but my nephew was able to book a free appointment at Croydon for Friday 21st and could have got one in Reading for £60. He said there were several available. He could have actually got one in Croydon for tomorrow the 17th but has not scanned or uploaded his docume...

Re: New Appointment Centre UKVCAS

It was actually my nephew going for FLR(M) for his wife and a friend of his going for ILR so no links. My nephew says there were quite a few available and he could have even got an earlier one. He went for a free one but could have paid £60 for an earlier one.

Re: New Appointment Centre UKVCAS

It appears that not only is the HO unable to deliver decisions within the 24 hour period promised for priority applications but Sopra Steria is also not able to offer appointments within five days from the online application as promised. Very disturbing!

Re: Passport Scanning for UKVAS

Yes just the bio page and stamps for previous passports that are not relevant to my qualifying period. But this is just my personal opinion. Tbh the online form only asks for the current passport. It does not even mention about any previous passports so I dont think it will be a problem. Anyways I ...

Re: Passport Scanning for UKVAS

I would personally scan all the pages for the passports that cover my qualifying period (5 years time period for ILR) (in my case it falls under 2 passports) I would not bother scanning all previous 5 passports (that is irrelevant to my qualifying period) that go back to 1987! I think the first pag...

Re: New Appointment Centre UKVCAS

That info is very helpful, thank you very much. The passport scanning has put my mind at ease. I scanned every page of my wife's passport today using standard office scanner and for some reason it failed to send. I guess it does need a special one. Re-assuring to know that they will check quality o...

Re: New Service appointment for ILR

Zimbabwe is correct! Don’t submit your application until you are eligible to apply. Having submitted it, you can then make an appointment within a few days if you wish and, if you pay extra, the next day if there is availability. If you have paid for priority processing, within 24 hours the HO will ...

Re: Experience from the London Premium Lounge, EC3R 7AF

My husband just applied for ILR. We used the super priority service . We went to Premium lounge in mark lane -London ( service charges a bit more £200-£260). It’s nice and quiet, you have one dedicated person doing everything. Parters are not allowed to go in the room ( wait in waiting area). They ...
