I would have thought Sopra Steria are responsible for refunding you as it is to them you pay for the appointment! Hope you get your money back!

Re: New Appointment Centre UKVCAS

Hi guys, I just registered a new account and let you know...I was at Birmingham centre on 13th Nov at 9.00 a.m. The caseworker told me she cannot submit my documents because of a system issue. Then there was another staff noted my appointment number saying she would look at this issue later and let...

Re: Help with ILR SET(M) online application

As I understand it, you can apply now as you can apply up to 28 days before your fifth anniversary of entering the UK. A) I do not think they expect you to include your family in the UK but there would be no harm in adding that your cultural ties etc are in now in the UK B) I do not think they expec...

Re: UKVI Digital Changes, No PEO/PSCs from October 2018?

I too am hoping to hear from Loupiol, particularly as there is another post on an applicant’s experience at the Birmingham Centre which did not go as smoothly as Loupiol's. In fact that applicant has not heard back from the HO even though he paid for the 24 hour decision.

CR001's links are very helpful. This is quite informative too.

Loupiol, we are bombarding g you with questions! You are a pioneer in this new process! I also need to know if you can upload extra documents. I think I heard there is an 'optional' documents section?

Re: UKVI Digital Changes, No PEO/PSCs from October 2018?

That is SO helpful! Thanks! I may be tempted to do it the same way as what you say is very encouraging. My concern is that my husband (well, both of us!) is elderly and so has loads of passports! I guess they will scan all of them! What about the sponsors passport? Do they scan all of that too? Have...

Re: UKVI Digital Changes, No PEO/PSCs from October 2018?

I would not have thought it would be the Premium Lounge to where correspondence should be addressed. Unlike the PSC’s , this is not where a decision will be made. It is merely a facility for biometrics and scanning, etc will be done.

Re: UKVI Digital Changes, No PEO/PSCs from October 2018?

That is helpful! So, you pay for the visa, then you pay to have an expedited decision (£477 or £610) then you pay (£200 or £260) for the Sopra Steria appointment? And if you want added services like document checking or digital assisted services, any idea what those cost? Please let us know how it ...

Have you read the links in this thread? From what they say, you can pay extra to get an early decision.

Re: UKVI Digital Changes, No PEO/PSCs from October 2018?

My understanding is that you cannot travel while the application is being processed. However, you could apply early, pay for an early appointment and a quick decision.

Re: PLEASE HELP !!!!! problem with uploading documents on UKCAS!!

Hopefully someone who has used the new system will be able to advise. It is early days yet! However, do you still have the option to take your documents to the appointment and upload them from there? Or do you have to choose the option to upload from home before you make the appointment?

Re: UKVI Digital Changes, No PEO/PSCs from October 2018?

As I understand it (and I am not sure what I understand!) is that the centres will merely be for enrolling biometrics and scanning documents if you have not done that at home. The option for a decision will be for next day, eight days ? or longer . Obviously the sooner you want a decision, the more ...

Re: PSC ILR applications and new service

It is really too early to understand all the details. We are going to be relying on those who apply using the new system. But I understand that one of the extras is a document checking service which might be useful. Not sure what all the extras cost!

That is good to hear! All the best! Could you let us know if there were any surprises in the questions on the form, please? It is really helpful to hear about people's experiences with the new system. Are you uploading your own documents?

Medical report for ILR on new form?

I see on another forum, someone has reported that in the list of other documents on the SET(M) online form, there is a requirement for 'A headed letter from a medical practitioner who holds either an NHS consultant role, or who appears in the Specialist Register of the General Medical Council. The l...

Re: Scanning documents under new application process

Thanks! I did see that document and Document Checking seems a good option. I can see us paying for all the extras! I would think that we would also be able to see what has been uploaded. I am sure it will all not seem so daunting when we hear of others experiences when they have been through the pro...

Re: Scanning documents under new application process

Thanks! I may have to it that way but I would prefer to upload my own as I would want to be able to check to make sure everything was uploaded. I wonder if we can check that if the scanning is done at one of the centres?

Scanning documents under new application process

I realise very few people will have tried out the new system but those who have had a look at the form and supporting documents, do we have to scan entire passport and previous passports of the applicant and sponsor? We are elderly and my husband has about six or seven passports! How on earth will I...

Re: ILR SET(0) online from

My application is due to be submitted in Jan/Feb 19 It does ask about current ID card-country of current Nationality:) This was new for me. What happens if you don’t have a current ID other than passport? Will the form accept passport number for ID? Not every country issues such a card, including t...
