Re: Adult dependant Settlement Visa refused - Please advice

I know Wanderers comments may sound harsh but it is as it is! However, each case is different and I have often seen the comment 'why did you emigrate and leave your parents in their home country'. Not all cases are like that though. For instance the children of my friend of whom I speak above were b...

Re: Adult dependant Settlement Visa refused - Please advice

There is really no way of knowing if an IO will allow your mother to enter the UK but, on a positive note, my friend was refused her ADR earlier this year. She also had a valid visit visa and was allowed in, with no questions asked at all, for five months. I had been very worried that she would be t...

Re: FLR(M) Application 7.3C

As far as I know you do not have to fill in 7.3c if you are meeting the financial requirement by other means, in your case, with salary. In fact, it can cause confusion if you include other financial information.

You must complete and submit Appendix 2! You are meeting the financial requirement through savings.

Re: FLR(M) Form Questions - extension application

I would answer 2.2 with NO as it is not the first time you are applying for a visa. It says 'is this the first time you have applied for a visa OR an extension.....' If you have a spousal visa, it is not the first time you have applied in that category.

Re: My husband has a criminal conviction. Will my visa ext be

My husband has a conviction for our smacking children. First offence. How serious will this be? Is he still be valid to support my visa as his dependent? Seriously? Not being facetious but since when has this been an offence? Was it smacking or hitting? i.e. causing bruising etc? See also Smacking ...

Re: Help with FLR (M) please

1. If your husband is earning the required amount or above, you have no need to include your part time salary. 2. I would probably just say 'we live together so everyday' 3. No! The last six months bank statements ( original unless stamped and authenticated by the bank) and corresponding original pa...

Re: Visa Application form for elderly Mother & Dependent Sis

Just a give an actual case that was refused. My friend, over seventy years old, widowed, depressed, not living in her country of birth, no family members in the country, not totally disabled but with some physical challenges, very expensive home care when she needs it, strong ties to UK in the past,...

Re: Supporting evidence

I think it is six letters in both person's names, so six in joint names or twelve individually. Does she not have anything from the NHS? Or a bank account? Or Council Tax? Any official letter is acceptable and the letters must be spread over the entire time since she entered on the first visa.

Re: flrm documents please

I would be worried about the five months of pay slips. They can be very precise about requirements. Hopefully it will work out for you as you have no time to get the sixth payslip. I do not understand though the statement that your wife's visa is valid until 2017. Maybe I am missing something.

Re: Settlement Visa application submitted without Appendix 2

Appendix 2 is an essential document in your application as it sets out in detail how you meet the financial requirement. Hopefully UKVI will ask you to send the document. As you have already tried to contact them, I don't think there is anything more you can do at this point.

Re: Rejected for Spouse Visa! NatWest bank statements!

I think there is no way round this. I have read of cases where online statements have been accepted but it is rare. Fortunately for us we did not need to use NatWest statements for our application abroad. My advice to be certain would be to return to UK and arrange for the bank to post the statement...

Re: UK spouse visa - urgent bank statement help

Could you arrange for someone in the UK to collect your statements from the bank and have them stamped by bank official or attach a letter from the bank authenticating the account details and statements. UKVI can be very precise insisting bank statements are originals. I do not know if they would ac...

Re: Public fund after spousal visa

If the children are British, I was under the impression that they would not be counted in the savings requirement and that it would remain at £62,500? If you are granted the visa based on savings, you could both work and your joint salaries would hopefully meet the income requirements (which may of ...

Re: £600 surcharge for entry clearance?

A British national does not have to pay the surcharge, but anyone applying for either a spousal visa or an extension (FLR(M)), does. A British national would not apply for any visa to enter or remain in the UK.

Re: Older dependent relatives

Just to confirm that adult dependant visas are very difficult to get. A close friend of mine, over seventy years old, still grieving over the loss of her husband and with strong ties to the UK has been denied such a visa. It was not surprising as she did not meet the criteria but her son applied for...

Re: Moving from Israel to England - need help

We did not certify any of our copies. I copied everything except for the Application form and Appendix 2 to send to UKVI as they tend to then keep the copies and return the originals. I also kept a copy of everything for our records, including the applcation form and Appendix 2.
