Your salary must be 20K or the min from the Soc code, whichever is GREATER. So it seems, in your case, you must be paid 20K or you will b...

Re: Tier 2 refusal

Hi, Is it legal for companies to not interview Tier 2 student visa candidates because they don't want to process their visas? thanks If I were a company and could avoid all of the expense, hassle and grief of hiring a migrant. I do not think you are allowed to be discriminated against because of yo...

Re: Travelling outside the UK, nearing 10 year residence

Dear All, 1. Would I be allowed entry (to the UK) as at the time of my return I would only have 6/7 months left for ILR eligibility. I have heard (not sure though) that people are randomly refused entry when they are on PSW but not doing anything significant in the UK, and specially when people are...

Am I an overstayer???

Dear all, I am in dire need of advice, as everything I have heard seems rather vague. I have been in the UK on various visas for the past 8 or so years. I am a Physics teacher (shortage occupation). I worked at a school where I was very unhappy, but they sponsored me as a tier 2 g. Last spring, I ap...

Re: Tier 2 change of employer timelines

Hi there, I am offered a new job and the employer is willing to sponsor my Tier 2 visa. I am presently on a Tier 2 general visa and wanted to know how much time does it generally take from the date of submission. Also, can I continue working at my old employer till the time I get my new visa. Thank...

I am not 100% sure, but it could be that waiting for the old visa to expire would start the 12 month cooling off period. Additionally, your sponsor would need to apply for a restricted CoS. But please seek more expert advice....

I am in a strange position. I handed in my notice and left my jb at the end of August. On my BRP it says expiry Aug 2014, so it is not expiring just yet. My future employer has been waiting sine May for their sponsorship. They have readvertised my job twice but cannot find other Physics teachers wit...
