Re: Help/advice required, both panicking and scared

Just going to throw this out there - by 'insurmountable obstacles' they essentially mean you would need an asylum claim to be legitimate in the UK, ie your life is at risk because you would be targeted specifically in the other country. I am sympathetic of not wanting to move out of the UK, but what...

Re: unmarried partner visa vs fiancé visa

I'm worried we won't qualify for this. You don't. You are not permitted to 'live' in the UK on a visitor visa. I suspect you have been incredibly lucky to be allowed back in after each visit to the US as you been, in effect, living (contrary to visitor visa rules) in the UK. Have you been working? ...

Home Office immigration flawed, surely not. The very idea it is less than perfect may have crossed a few of the minds of the people using this site though 🤔
Agreed. In addition, it is outrageous that different countries have different rules/ laws, no?

And of course come back with specific questions.

And she may need a TB certificate if Thailand is a TB country, which I do not know if it is or not, but you would want to look out for this.

Re: Visa for my Thai spouse

First - you need to do your research as everyone's situation is a little different... Sorry for being just a tad terse before... trying to do too many things at once!! Not enough info about your situation to be much more specific either... So financial. How will you meet the requirements? Employmen...

Re: Urgent wrong appendix 2 sent

I ended up working out the wrong annual salary on it and he sent it with his biometrics appointment Hmm. Not sure how? If it's on the employer's letter or accountant statement (depending on category applied under). As long as that matches the payslips/ what's in the bank account, hopefully it will ...

Re: UK visit visa for a spouse before applying for a spouse visa

While trying to gather all documents needed to apply for a spouse visa, we found that to get everything ready we could start applying by end of July therefore we are thinking to apply for my spouse and the child for a UK visit visa to enable them to come to visit me in the UK for the time being. Ho...

Hiya I'm really panicking here. My husband sent the wrong appendix 2 in his biometrics appointment. They scanned it and sent it to Sheffield. What do I do. Do I write a new one out with a cover letter explaining what happened. I'm really worried here What do you mean by 'wrong'? There is only one A...

Re: Visa based of child with refugee status

That letter is commonly sent out to FLR(FP) applicants. It means nothing abut what the outcome will be or when you will hear.

It may be that no one has a similar history who has come across your thread, as your situation is NOT common.

It's just a waiting game and might go either way...

Good luck.

The mother of the child and I have split and have about 60:40 arrangements for the child, slightly more with their mother. The mother of the child wants to return to the UK with the child but also wants me to continue to see the child as much as possible, which obviously I want to do. So currently ...

Re: Parent of a UK child

Hi there I am looking to apply for immigration as a parent of a UK child. What I don't understand is the maintenance requirement. How am I meant to meet that while outside the UK? Is it on a savings basis? Do I have to have a UK job offer? It says specifically in the guidance notes (if the applican...

Hello,

I don't think the OP realised that his first wife sponsored his visa to the UK and this sponsorship cannot be shifted to the second wife the way he was planning
Coincidentally, that was the advice he was given... just saying!

Is there a way I can sponsor her and then she can look for a job that way.
