Re: new form - evidence for unpaid leave?

I'm not sure I totally understand what you mean here, in that the P60 will state your total taxable pay & tax paid for the entire financial year. But it would not have anything which would indicate that you were absent from the country during any particular time period during that year. Or am I mis...

Re: new form - evidence for unpaid leave?

I have appointment on 11th Jan. We need convincing reason on application form. Holiday or Visiting family or annual leave or business trip.... do not know which one to put Holiday, family visits, non-UK employment would not be considered as a valid reason for absence as we have seen from their repl...

Re: new form - evidence for unpaid leave?

If they are only short absences and you were employed soon after (i.e. meaning there would be no way a case worker would be able to see that you were unemployed during that time period) then I'd say you could give any reason you wanted. What about P60 or employment history for last 5 years? It can ...

Re: new form - evidence for unpaid leave?

Just want to point that he may have applied using the old form but not under old rules. The new rules took effect from Dec 13 2012. But, I do agree with your sentiment ... they will probably continue to be nice until Jan 3. Logically thinking, what if the old form is missing what is required by new...

Thanks...this is indeed useful. All - some part of it is slightly worrying...it says if you went out of UK on unpaid leaves then that is a break ? If someone went for a holiday in between jobs, finishing one and then starting another then does that mean it will be considered a break in residency ? ...

Re: ILR from Tier 1 General - Compleeing reason

Hello, I am applying for ILR in Jan 2013. I was away for a period of 48 days due to my father's health issues and had left my job that time. I came back for 3 days, took an job offer in UK and went back for 40 days again for his treatment. Do i need to provide evidence for these absences? You need ...

Can you point me where it is written in rule?

Given that standard annual leave is around 5 or 6 weeks and absences have to be either work related or annual leave, self-employed T1 (Gen) migrants may struggle to find relevant paperwork to prove that the any trips beyond 6 weeks of the year were work related. I think that is where the problems w...

Re: new form - evidence for unpaid leave?

I am confused - why would anyone declare any holiday as being taken for serious and compelling reasons unless it is more than 180 days per year? If the absences are less than 180 days per year, then as per the current rules T1G holders do not have to give any proof - isn't that right? If you declar...

Asking proof only for serious or compelling reason also does not make any sense. I am going email UBKA above scenario and ask for suggestion and update ...

Some more intresting stuff

The Secretary of State considers the granting of ILR in the UK to be a privilege and the continuous period requirement is the minimum amount of time which a migrant must spend in employment or being economically active in the UK before being eligible to qualify for ILR.

That is good one..

I think if absences are less then 180 days...better to put as holidays irrespective reason you went outside.

But if I put 60days in one trip, do they question only you may have 25-30 annual leave and how did you took 60 days holidays
