I contacted my MP's office Monday of last week, and they have contacted the UKBA, and have been able to confirm that both of my email requests have been received. I phoned the MP's office, and that was fine. I'd recommend phoning yours, at least you'll get to speak to someone, even if they ask you to email instead, at least you'll know where you stand with them!
