Yes, I guess it is better than saying employed but still leaves enough room for speculation.

Re: new form - evidence for unpaid leave?

But you are proving that you had a primary employment during that period. It is good reason for them to reject based on new rule. Family visit means -> you can tell on holiday to visit family. You email again UBKA with different email asking questions 1. Do I need to submit any proof on holiday whe...

Re: new form - evidence for unpaid leave?

For your question, they have replayed as per below wording in rule If the absences are in connection with other employment outside the UK, which demonstrates the UK employment is secondary, these are not permitted absences, and the continuous period requirement is considered broken You better to men...

new form - evidence for unpaid leave?

This also has been discussed here:

And as I thought the guidance they use does not correctly reflect immigration rules where Tier1-G is clearly excluded from these absences' requirement.

Re: new form - evidence for unpaid leave?

I have a similar situation when I had to leave UK for about month and this was the reply from ukba settlement team: "I am afraid this absence would not be covered by the new policy for calculating the continuous period, as it is not related to the purpose for which you were granted a visa to enter ...

new form - evidence for unpaid leave?

I am still not getting how this relates to Tier1 General. Yes, page 11 of ilr calculating continuous guidance says: "absences must be for reasons connected with the applicant’s purpose for being in the UK or for serious or compelling compassionate reasons" and this was exactly ukba response relies o...

Redundancy and ILR

I think I may have found answer. Quoting: "An applicant does not have to be in continuous or full-time employment during the 12 months being assessed." from Annex A at http://www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk/sitecontent/documents/policyandlaw/IDIs/idichapter6a/section1.pdf?view=Binary Thanks for replies, ...

Redundancy and ILR

Dear folks,

Could someone confirm that any gaps in employment (due to redundancy in my case) within 5 years' time do not affect Tier1(G)-to-ILR applicants according to new rules?

As I understand, 60 days rule in 245AAA affects Tier2/WP applicants only.

Thank you,
AM
