My understanding is that you need a separate PEO appointment for your wife, because the applications of you both are not of the same category.

you can email to applyonlinee-support@homeoffice.gsi.gov.uk.
You can ask them to confirm the appointment is valid or not.
You can also ask them to cancel the ones you do not need.
You will get reply within a few hours.

I'm struggling to understand, I don't think Police check for ILR application is standard requirement. Are you saying it is fro ALL or specific region in the country? Thanks.
