Received someone elses application! (who applied in Feb)

So today, after 5 months of waiting, I received the next day envelope we sent with the original application but the package contains all documents of someone elses application!!!  How can they possibly get it so wrong?! I have written to the deputy caseworker find out immediately what h...

Re: Interview before receiving RC

Exactly! Its so unjust! They can't simply refuse just because they want to  or give out wrong COAs and expect applicants to stay home for 6 months and do nothing!

Re: how to become a eea national

Am I right in thinking, you have to exercise your EU treaty rights (as a British) in another country to be able to classify yourself as a EU citizen? You can't automatically be an EU Citizen just because your British. So I don't think he/she wants to become an EEA national, just know how long to wor...

Re: how to become a eea national

Maybe th OP means becoming an EU citizen (exercising EU treaty rights in another country) for the purpose of getting an EEA resident card for his/her partner? So basically, the surrinder singh route.

Re: Do I have to change from Family Member to Spouse Visa?

As far as I understand you can stay on that resident card and apply for permanent residency as well. I'm just not sure if you would apply under surrinder singh or not as you did not enter the UK while in a relationship with a British Citizen. You may need to prove your partner has been employed for ...

Has any SS route applicants been called for an interview or have they had a home visit?

Re: EEA Family Permit

When my husband applied, we gave a date of 3 months later for the application and they issued the card within 7 working days and it was valid from that date..you will most probably get it soon so you'll be able to travel earlier.

Re: EEA Family Permit

Once you enter the UK on a valid EEA family permit you don't need to renew it. You can reside in the UK even if your permit expires. Even EEA2 resident card is optional although its recommended to make it easy to prove your status for work etc, so don't worry about your status in the meantime. You o...

Re: Documents for applying EEA2 under Surinder Singh route

My husband received a COA with no right to work and ever since I have been trying to get it corrected. My caseworker never replied to my letter so I emailed the deputy head but after 3 months we still have not receive the right one. I'd have thought getting an EuFam Ireland resident card AND and EEA...

Re: Documents for applying EEA2 under Surinder Singh route

I didn't know the form has changed! Now it makes soo much more sense. If you've been issued a FP it already proves your EU treaty rights so theres no need to prove it all over again. When I applied in March I had to send it all in again despite the fact that my husband entered with a valid UK family...

Re: COA with no right to work BUT we ARE married

Hello again..

So my husband might be able to get a job through an agency. As far as I am aware (and by law) my husband has the right to work even with the wrong COA. Should he go ahead and go to interviews? If he can get a job, is there anything wrong with him working?

Re: COA with no right to work BUT we ARE married

Hmm thanks chaoclive. I don't understand how some people get replies in a month or two. Ours has now been 4 months :( And its really frustrating especially when you need to travel. We are waiting everyday for the reply to come through the post...I just don't see how our application is any worse than...

Re: EEA FP: To accompany/to join

I don't think it will be a problem. My husband and I visited India and on return we had a huge problem and my seat was not reserved for some reason. I ended up getting another flight the next day. In the meantime, my husband reached UK and I was worried they wouldn't let him through without me. I th...

Re: Returning to the UK after travel

I understand it won't be a problem from Ireland to the UK. But we will be entering ireland from overseas so through an international terminal.. just checking he won't need the card as well? We have an original marriage certificate with us :) I know it was not a requirement but while we were in Irela...

Re: Returning to the UK after travel

Oh thats great. So we really should just take a chance and go by flight! I thought it would be safe to apply again - but I would rather avoid it if I can. Sorry, I meant.. My husband has an Ireland resident EuFam card but its with UKBA at the moment. His passport has a stamp that says hes permitted ...

Thank you! What about the other documents? Like proof of exercising EU treaty rights? I know UK will let him in but getting the airline abroad to let him board the plane is what I'm worried about. And if we were to apply for a UK permit in Ireland, will they have all the docs on file from our previo...

Thanks chaoclive

I replied to her email saying we sent all the required docs and finally she said she will get her colleague to review it based on that info. So, hopefully something might change.
Do you think not having the long COA has any impact on the decision of the application?
