Alisha, There are limits on your trips out of the UK, you can not stay out of the UK more than 90 consecutive days, and there are also restrictions on the total number of days out of the UK in the past 5 years before the ILR application. HO website has the information as well as the immigration boar...

Alishah,
Regarding the return on investment for property purchases, it is low; visit www.housepricecrash.co.uk and get an idea of the current state of the market.

Now, regarding time: your WP should take a few weeks (3-5) to be approved if they have prepared the required information.

Few comments: - You can keep the ILR all your life, only problem is if you decide to move abroad for a long period, then you may loose ILR (two years or so...); makes sense to get citizenship... - I would keep the HSMP if I could pass the requirements for renewal. Why? no one can guarantee that the ...

Christoff, With a brazilian passport he should be able to visit for a few weeks and then return to Brazil. The important thing is that he should have a logical explanation for the trip and no conflicting documents. Good documents to have: - Letter from you inviting him to stay, mentioning your flat ...

Please, please, consider and review your options before taking any action. Based on the regulations, your Entry Clearance (UK Visa) is only valid during the "validity period" and while you are working for your sponsor on the particular role that the Work Permit was granted. If you resign, the WP is ...

From the information you provided and many other before you it becomes clear that Indian companies are abusing the immigration laws. check the HO website, there you will find different teams in charge of WP.
They used to separate the teams by type of WP and by letter of the surname....
they would ask for date of birth and full name....maybe employer as well...
not sure if this has changed

By extracting specific parts of the guidance and leaving others out, you are just letting yourself beleive that you are allowed more days. The guidance clearly specifies a fixed number of days; that is the information that you should concentrate on. You can not interpret: (consistent with annual pai...

I guess is now 174 views and no response.....

Most of the questions on this forum are related to normal, "vanilla", standard immigration issues...when you add convictions then things are not that easy.

I'm unable to comment due to the conviction (without it, you may had an ILR chance)

Not at all,
Your trips to France would cause no problem with the ILR application; only if she was detained and convicted then it may cause problems.
In your case, that was a honest mistake, no problem

Jilly, The only good advise you would get is to return to your home country, and here's why: - You are exposed to being deported - Once deported you can't return to the UK for a period of time - You may be detained as part of the deportation procedure - You will be blacklisted in the UK immigration ...

Hi Jilly PaperPusher explained the situation: You have been working illegally in the UK since December 2004. All the time you worked for X, Y and B (about 3 years) you have been committing an immigration offence. Your 28 days expired in January 2005, you should have left the country since then. Your...

Bhiman, The day you leave and the day you arrive are not counted (confirm this on the guidance, I didn't add mine to the calculation). It is not relevant if your employer allows 6-8-10 weeks leave each year, it is your responsability not to exceed the allocated days as per UK immigration regulations...

There you have it,
You wanted to know if spouse could be a director; technically yes, spouse can be a director, in reality you are just highlighting and bringing attention to the fact that the WP is creating an artificial employment/contract and is breaking the WP rules by being self employed.

Sally_smith; My understanding is that only people born before 1983 gain british citizenship by birth, regardless of who the parents are.
