I am a non eu my divorce is done with my EEA sponser If you have split from your EEA partner, any status under the Appendix EU held by you is purely personal to you and not inheritable. To the best of my knowledge, the child is not eligible for Pre-Settled Status. The child should apply for a visa ...

Re: Will UK Border force accept Indian Identity Certificate

A passport is required to board an international flight or transport (ships). Only domestic flights (and intra-Schengen/intra-CTA flights/ferries are considered domestic for these purposes) do not require passports.

Re: Bringing second wife to UK on visit visa

Your father's daughter may well have obtained British citizenship, but until you see her passport you will not know. It is unlikely that citizenship would be readily granted BUT it is entirely possible depending on the circumstances. ...as well as his daughter which he made British. If the daughter...

Re: Baby born in india

As a dual national I think he can hold both passports until he reaches 18. I think it is more nuanced than that. My understanding (and I could very well be wrong) is that Indian law allows dual citizenship , so long as the child does not have any non-Indian passport . So an Indian passport with a C...

Re: British by double descent

Citizenship by double descent is extremely rare and is, to the best of my knowledge, only possible under very limited circumstances related to the Federation of Rhodesia and Nyasaland (modern day Zambia, Zimbabwe and Malawi). And that is only because of an error in the drafting of laws governing tha...

Re: British passport for child born outside UK to British citizen with Australian passport.

You say your passport shows you as "British" - you mean "British otherwise than by decent" ? If so I believe your child is British by decent and entitled to a passport. If it says "British by decent" then your child won't be British. British passports for British citizens only state their status as...

Re: Mn1 application section 3.2

British passport applications for British citizen children born on the Subcontinent are known to take between six months and a year.

So I wouldn't be too surprised with an MN1 application taking as long at least.

Re: Citizenship delayed

I have right to know why they delay my application Don't think there is any such right. Keep in mind that all applicants for naturalization must already have ILR. That gives them most of the same rights in the UK as British Citizens, especially if they are also Commonwealth citizens. A delay in nat...

Re: Applying child dependent visa for my children

How old are the children? Some advice us to apply for ILR for the children, while some advice us to apply child dependent visa. Are they the same route? If not, which route should I choose? The children can't apply for ILR directly and you should apply for child dependent visas for them. However, as...

Re: Spouse on ILR dependant VISA naturalization application without ILR

ILR is a requirement for naturalisation, even for spouses of British citizens. Since ILR requires a minimum of five years on the spousal route, that means that your spouse can only apply for naturalisation after getting ILR after five years. She would be able to apply for naturalisation immediately ...

Re: Adult dependent relative visa

The only way you will know if that approach will work is if you try it. But, keep in mind the following (a) According to Home Office stats, ~6% applications are successful on first attempt, with a further 6% after expensive appeals. In the past few years, the number of ADR visas issued has been in s...

Sorry to go back to the original topic of this thread, do we know why it takes up to 16 weeks for applications from abroad whilst 2-3 days for in UK? Please answer this question. Also, what is their UK immigration status?

The status of children born abroad is generally in line with that of the second/less-privileged parent, regardless of gender.

You can apply for enhanced DBS check or SAR from the ACRO, this is the Police computer records which will show you everything on it too, link https://www.acro.police.uk/s/acro-servi ... ect-access
Would that include the length of the sentence, as opposed to the length of time served?

Re: British subject in 1943, suddenly NOT in 1949??

I will start by congratulating you on having done some historic research. To start with, it needs to be understood that there are three different statuses at three different times, not all of which correspond on-to-one with each other. Before 1948, all people born in any of His Majesty's Dominions (...

Two weeks later, we received a confirmation that my application was accepted.
