Re: Financial support in Appeal exceptional circumstances SPOUSE VISA UK

Does the fact that the wife has joint custody of a child from a previous relationship change anything ? It is an interesting question, Casa . I don't work for the Home Office, so I am going by their public guidances. I remember reading in one of their guidances (not sure which one, but may be the o...

How exhaustive do the proofs of the three years residence have to be. I have old passports and grandparents' nationality certificates. Grandparents nationality certificates is fine. As for old passports, if the person is both a dual British and Pakistani citizen, it is possible (I don't know Pakist...

Re: Spouse visa fee waiver

Is there any way they are able to get the visa fee waived? No. Fee waiver is only available for applicants who are already in the UK and asking them to leave the UK would violate their ECHR rights. If they are not in the UK, that does not apply. Also keep in mind that any such fee waiver, even if a...

Re: council or HO fault?

Worth checking with the Home Office which council the certificate was sent to.

We had an issue a few years ago where the certificate should have been sent to a council in London, but was instead sent to a similarly named council in Wales.

So why did the issue of the ban not come into play when my previous two applications were granted, but it was used as grounds to refuse my naturalization application? And secondly, why won't the granting of the ILR not nullify the post facto usage of the ban on any subsequent applications made i.e ...

No difference in costs.

Even if you apply for the two together, it is possible that the application will processed and decided separately.

Re: (Form ARD)Application for registration as a British citizen

Any form of acquisition of British nationality is always only prospective (from the date of registration or naturalisation certificate) and never retrospective....

Re: New Immigration rules on 11 march

The rules have not been published yet, so hard to advise accurately. The norm is that the rules in the date of application would apply for applications already submitted. So you should be fine if you apply before 11th March. But I would not leave it till the last minute to do so. The earlier you do ...

Re: Entering the UK with a child that was born in Greece

Note that if the child is born in Greece, the child will be a British citizen by descent and will not be able to automatically pass on British citizenship to their own children born outside the UK.

British citizenship is restricted to one generation born outside the UK.

Re: ILR FORM Query for UK born child(Parents setteled(5year route) after child was born)

I cannot comment on how the Indian nationality works but I believe if the child holds an Indian passport and registers as Britsh, they will lose Indian citizenship. Children born with dual British/Indian citizenship (to a British parent and an Indian parent or to an Indian parent with ILR in the UK...
