Re: Spouse and Child Visa to UK.

I checked into the below website and it isn't very clear because it says "You might also need to pay the healthcare surcharge". Is it "might" or we "should"? https://www.gov.uk/uk-family-visa Do note that I'm a British Citizen and my wife is Indian citizen, I'm applying for my wife's visa to come a...

Re: Overstay but EX1 applies. Disregarded by home office?

Dates may be very relevant here. valid till Dec 2015. Applied FLR 5 year spouse, rejected - old form used, rejected IHS fee not paid again and not in time. When was the form for this extension submitted? Was it ruled invalid? If so, that means that that application was never made. And that means tha...

Where is the other parent?
Please answer this question. Also, what is their UK immigration status?

The status of children born abroad is generally in line with that of the second/less-privileged parent, regardless of gender.

Have I jumped the gun here? I understand how my father would have been eligible for ROA based on section 2 (1) (b) (i) but secret.simon quotes section section 2 (1) as suppoort for me to be eliglble but that section states: " a person is under this Act to have the right of abode in the UK if: (d) h...

You can apply for enhanced DBS check or SAR from the ACRO, this is the Police computer records which will show you everything on it too, link https://www.acro.police.uk/s/acro-servi ... ect-access
Would that include the length of the sentence, as opposed to the length of time served?

Re: British subject in 1943, suddenly NOT in 1949??

I will start by congratulating you on having done some historic research. To start with, it needs to be understood that there are three different statuses at three different times, not all of which correspond on-to-one with each other. Before 1948, all people born in any of His Majesty's Dominions (...

Re: Applied for a FLR(M) and received FLR(FP) letter

Two weeks later, we received a confirmation that my application was accepted. However, there was an error in the confirmation letter as it showed a ten-year route under FP, even though we had applied for the marriage route. Although I should have refuted the decision, at the time we were very young...

You were convicted on 31 March 2009 at .... Crown Court. ... Problem is I have been convicted at that date exactly but for 6 months. To probe your thought process on the point above, Frontier Mole , would it be in order for the OP or somebody in a similar position to make an FLR application in the appropriate stream and then vary it to an ILR/SET application the day they become eligible for it? Is there any way they are able to get the visa fee waived? No. Fee waiver is only available for applicants who are already in the UK and asking them to leave the UK would violate their ECHR rights. If they are not in the UK, that does not apply. Also keep in mind that any such fee waiver, even if a...

Worth checking with the Home Office which council the certificate was sent to.

We had an issue a few years ago where the certificate should have been sent to a council in London, but was instead sent to a similarly named council in Wales.

No difference in costs.

Even if you apply for the two together, it is possible that the application will processed and decided separately.
