Re: Adequate maintenance for FLR(M)

'Adequate maintenance' is still relevant for some applications for extension where a spouse has not passed LIUK and are still under the old rules etc and is also relevant to settled or British spouse who claim certain qualifying benefits (carers allowance for example) who are exempt from the financ...

Re: Adequate maintenance for FLR(M)

Ignore the 'adequate maintenance'. Not relevant to new FLR(M) applications post 9th July 2012. HO is only interested in your gross annual income. If you meet the financial requirement with YOUR income, you only need to provide YOUR payslips and bank statements. You do realise that the financial req...

Adequate maintenance for FLR(M)

Hi there, I wanted to clarify regarding maintenance requirement for FLR(M) applicant + 1 dependent. The guidance suggest I must show at least £22,400 salary to sponsor my wife and child. However there's also 'adequate accommodation' requirement and this is where confusion starts. In my case the sala...

ILR received, what happens to current dependants?

I successfully received my ILR (long residence) yesterday at Croydon PEO, and I now have a question regarding my dependents, who are currently dependents to my Tier 2 General visa which was due to expire in 2018, which is technically not valid since getting my ILR yesterday. Is there any time limit ...

Re: One parent on ILR, can child get British passport?

Many thanks, does this mean NCS will make copies of the documents (including current passport) and return them to me straight away and then send copies to Home Office (meaning I'll have no problems travelling)?

One parent on ILR, can child get British passport?

Hi there, Could somebody please clarify this situation: - child was born in the UK in 2012 when both parents were on Tier 4 visas; - one of the parents now has ILR. Can our child apply for British Passport right now? If so, should we use MN1 form? Does anyone know approximately how long this process...

ILR 10 years after Tier 4 + Tier 2

Hi everyone, Could somebody please evaluate my chances of getting ILR based on 10 years in the UK: Entered in June 2006 on Student visa. Extended student visa several times, then got Tier 4, then switched on dependant visa of my partner, then back to Tier 4, then finally switched to Tier 2 General. ...

Re: 10 years long residence applications

Hi everyone, Could somebody PLEASE clarify one rather confusing bit: Can ILR 10 years application be made in person at PEO 28 days before the actual date or not? Example: I entered the UK on 10th June 2006. Can I apply in person (not by post) any date after 13th May 2016 or does it have to be 10th J...

Requesting additional CoS - please help!

Hi there! My future employer has problems getting a CoS. They originally had their license issued in 2013, together with 1 CoS. When describing job tasks, they simply copied tasks from SOC codes guidance to ensure they selected appropriate SOC code. They had no problems getting CoS that time. Since ...

Confused with CoS allocation, please help!!

Hi all, Could somebody please advice on unrestricted CoS allocation? Basically company received their sponsorship licence in 2013 along with 1 unrestricted CoS, which they gave to a future employee. He then applied for Tier 2 visa but was refused for some other reasons. The following year, 2014, the...

There isn't any annual limit for unrestricted CoS, right? Shouldn't be a problem getting on towards the end of the year? There's annual lim...

So once applied and successfully received an allocation, company can issue CoS to the employee any time after receiving it, but no later than 5th April 2015?

Annual CoS allocation

Hi there, Could somebody please help to clarify the situation: My company received sponsorship license + 1 CoS in 2013. This CoS has been used (well, in fact the applicant was refused a visa, but CoS has been used anyway) in September 2013, and now on SMS we have the following: "Limit: 1", "Assigned...

Re: Scholarship - how to explain to UKBA - URGENT!!!

If you have a letter from your institute mentioning the scholarship then put 10,000 as paid. I would call it a logical answer. I've spoken to a Visa Officer at my university and he advised the opposite. He said I should put the total tuition fees as £7.500, because that's what I pay, and UKBA will ...

Re: Scholarship - how to explain to UKBA - URGENT!!!

You need to state the figure that is on the actual CAS letter, if there is an element of scholarship in your course fees then it should be stated on the CAS letter. It would be better to check it with the institution itself to make sure every thing is in order before you apply. but that's exactly w...

Scholarship - how to explain to UKBA - URGENT!!!

Hi all, Please let me know how does it work with scholarship which was awarded by the college itself, for example: Course fee: £10.000 Scholarship: £2.500 Course fee after scholarship: £7.500 Amount paid: £7.500 When filling UKBA's form there's a question "course fees", which in this case will be £1...

how to book an appointment?!

Hi guys, Anyone knows how to check available appointment slots online when applying for Tier 4? Tier 2 General visa refused, what will happen with CoS?

Hi there, I got my Tier 2 General visa refused due to 'wrong' type of diploma (I had PG Diploma, not PG Diploma in Education)... My question is what will happen to the CoS number now? It was issued to me last week. Would it be cancelled automatically and the company will be able to use it for someon...

choosing correct SOC (and salary level) for Tier 2 General

Hello everyone, So it looks like the company who wants to employ me managed to get their Sponsorship License (they received an email with User 1 login details today) which is great news.
