You will receive both your acknowledgement and biometric enrolment letter almost at the same time, this could range between two to four weeks depending on the Case Worker. However, it's a good sign the money is been taking which showed they've accepted your application.

As Zimba88 said it's not mandatory and not all payroll software can give you hourly rate except for few of them like money soft.
