Excellent - that is exactly what my local office said as well - the old form is OK for applications received before 28th October.

The September form is not changed for the B1 requirement it changed due to Good Character. For the English language requirement a new form should be released on 28/10/13. I certainly hope my local NCS sticks to what it told me yesterday, that they will still accept the December 2012 form for my app...

So nobody else know about new form??? I will send my application next week,I hope they not rejected them... :( It seems there is no straight answer to the question. I'm relaxed about using the old form and having it checked by the NCS and sent to the home office by them. I can't see how the Home Of...

NCS - depends on what region you are in. But most will be very busy now with the 28th October deadline approaching. My local one has nothing for the next week or so. If you go this route, I'd suggest booking an appointment as soon as you can.

I just phoned my local registry office. They said the old form is OK to use for applications that will reach the home office before 28th October. I have an appointment next week and they will accept the old form and send it to the Home Office. Brilliant. So it seems that there is some inconsistency ...

2. The Home Office do not use DBS certificates as they have direct access to PNC data. Yes, but do they have the exact same level of access as the police themselves do, and can they see everything that the police can see ? This is the bit I'm curious about. Therefore, all previous convictions, caut...

Can the Home Office see all old Cautions and Convictions ?

In May 2013 the law was amended so that very old cautions and convictions would not be disclosed (apart from certain exceptions). So for example, a simple caution over 6 years old would not be disclosed on standard or enhanced checks. But do the Home Office still see these ? I have read that they ma...

Naturalisation questions

I've just discovered this great forum, and have spent a good couple of hours reading posts. My wife has had ILR for a couple of years. We have been thinking of applying for naturalisation for her. I understand that we need to do this before the 28th October 2013, otherwise she will have to comply wi...
