Re: OCI shenanigans

Thanks ILR4PVM.

I followed point 6 and it helped me to fulfil point 7 requirement. I didn't read point 7 correctly, I was reading on phone, just before last night's sleep.

Many thanks for your useful post. Cheers!

Re: OCI (minor) - Thumb impression

Thank dear. Your reply saved lot of my time, otherwise I would have to go one more time. I went to VFS this morning. The girl on counter was saying she needs my son's thumb impression on Part B, the place where adult applicant has to sign. We had already signed below where parents need to sign for m...

OCI (minor) - Thumb impression

Hi all,

I noticed generated OCI form has already got thumb impression from uploaded image (jpeg - thumb impression).

This means minor can not make actual thumb impression?

Was your application accepted or VFS asked to create actual thumb impression?

I am converting PIO to OCI.

Thanks,
Rajesh

PIO to OCI conversion

Hi guys, HCI has set the deadline of 28th June to convert PIO to OCI free of cost. I have filled up online application form and I could get online appointment of 7th July, none available in June. This means I will have to pay full OCI fee £175. Is there any workaround and trick I can apply OCI befor...

Re: Overseas Citizenship of India (OCI)

They replied saying I can come to their reception anytime between 10AM to 12PM on any working day. I went there this morning and got it done in 10 minutes. I am glad she apologised before handing over signed and sealed OCI. This time, I entered their office from Reception area, very quite and uncrow...

Re: Getting OCI stamp on passport

HCI does not entertain any request to speed up OCI application. Your application goes to Delhi and then it comes back to HCI. They can not do anything until it shows Processed and received at HCI London.

I do not know if they will keep your application for 6 months.

I personally think you don't need notary affidavit.
