Re: Overseas Citizenship of India (OCI)

Can you please let us know on what basis you both qualify for OCI? I know you said your wife was born in India but you didn't say what was her parents' nationality then? Marriage certificate is required for two cases: 1) when applying for children based on parents' background. 2) when wife has chan...

Re: Is notary affidavit reqd. for PIO to OCI?

I personally think you don't need notary affidavit. Your daughter will apply OCI based on parents: v) Minor children holding foreign nationality and whose both parents are citizens of India or one of the parents is a citizen of India or both or one parents are OCI card holder , are eligible for OCI ...

Re: Overseas Citizenship of India (OCI)

Hi all,

I am making family application, myself and spouse. Do I need to carry marriage certificate? My wife has always used her maiden name, didn't change her surname. Her passport has my name as spouse. For any reason, do I still need to carry Marriage Certificate?

Thanks,
Rajesh

Re: Overseas Citizenship of India (OCI)

Which document? If you meant signing photo copies then it is only required for when you are making postal application. If you are making postal application then I am sure one of you can attest it. If you meant Part A of form then you need thumb impression of your kid. If you meant Part B of form the...

Re: Name change after Naturalisation

I have learnt from this forum that you need deed poll to change your name or part of your name. If you register it then you can use it as official document to change your name on British passport, DL, HMRC, Bank etc. Same applies when you want to change your name on child's passport/birth certificat...
