Maintenance funds while switching bank accounts

Hi guys My husband, who is due for a Tier 2 dependent extension in December, has been maintaining £630 in his account. However, he now wants to switch from Barclays to NatWest to avail their switching reward and cashback schemes. If he transfers this £630 over, can we show statements from the previo...

Re: German Schengen Visa - has anyone recently applied for one?

Thanks for letting me know. We applied for our visa on Thursday the 27th and have just received an email that our passports are ready to collect. That was just two working days! In our case they took a copy of the passport, BRP, hotel booking, flight tickets, travel insurance, original letter from t...

Re: PBS dependent extension while partner moved to ILR

Your situation is quite similar to mine! Is your current entry clearance or leave to remain as the partner of one of the following? a British citizen a person settled in the UK a person with refugee leave or a person with humanitarian protection in the UK Should I select YES or NO. When my current v...

Re: Can confict of address on CoS and Passport can lead to TIer 2 Visa rejaction?

I doubt it will be a cause for rejection, people move often. Though if you want to be on the safe side you can ask your sponsor to edit the address, its relatively easy for them to make edits or at least add a comment.

Tier 2 Dependant extension - maintenance question

My husband's Tier 2 dependant visa runs out in December and I was thinking about setting up the maintenance funds. I am currently on ILR, but during my last Tier 2 extension I got my employer to check the "maintenance provided" box on the CoS and didn't have to show any funds for myself. Referring t...

German Schengen Visa - has anyone recently applied for one?

I am planning a visit to Germany on 5th of July and unfortunately only able to get a visa appointment for the end of June. Their website says that the processing time is 5 working days. I was wondering if anyone has applied for a visa with Visametric recently and is able to share their experience re...

Re: UKVCAS Super Priority Service

You will receive your decision letter in due course. Thank you for using our super priority service." Is there anyone who had the same experience? Is ...

Re: Unclear Super Priority Decision Email

My email today said "I’m pleased to confirm that your application for leave has now been granted." which is also strange because it seems to indicate that my application has been granted, which doesn't make much sense. However, the next sentence is "You will receive your decision letter and biometri...

Re: Unclear Super Priority Decision Email

I'm inclined to believe that your ILR has been approved as the language is "I am pleased to confirm".
I doubt the case worker would be pleased about telling you that your application has been rejected!

ILR- salary increase update on SMS?

I asked my boss to update my salary on SMS but he said he couldn't find anywhere he could do that. Could anyone who's familiar with the SMS tell me anything about this?

Also, as its only a £1000 increase and was done mainly to comply with the latest codes of practice, is the update actually required?

To the people who have applied through the Croydon centre- how long did the whole process take at Croydon? Did you have to queue outside?

Re: UKVCAS appointments- East of England centres

I don't suppose you remember what day of the week a slot was available at Ipswich? A friend of mine and another friend of a friend have used the Norwich centre last month so I'm guessing the technical problems have been solved. I did get the advice of checking midnight or early morning for slot avai...

UKVCAS appointments- East of England centres

I've just submitted my ILR application online and tried to book an appointment (super-priority) in the Norwich Service Point only to see there were none available for the next 2 weeks. It was the same with the surrounding areas in Ipswich, Cambridge (I even tried Bedford) but the only available appo...

Re: Online application documents uploading

As long as it has the banks stamp, it’s ok. I have used that type before for my extension. Just ensure it has the stamp. Also you can get your statement from any branch of your bank. Just walk in and ask them. If you tell them the purpose, they will try and ensure it’s on the letter head. Ok thanks...

Re: T2-ILR salary increment, Very nervous

I am actually in a similar boat. My salary has been at the minimum threshold required for my PhD level job since I extended my Tier 2 visa. Now, however, the threshold has gone up by £1000 and so my salary needs to be increased by that amount just before I apply for my ILR. Would explaining the sit...

ILR salary requirement- PhD level job

I am on my second Tier 2 visa at the moment and have to apply for ILR. When I applied for my Tier 2 extension my employer had to increase my salary to the minimum level required for an experienced candidate, which for my PhD level job was £27,000 at the time, according to the codes of practice. My q...
