Yes, as long as I know it's true that spouse (married) of EU citizen are not charged of visa fees. They have not mentioned it that umarried partners will be given free visa. But I think overall it's easier to get visa in your case, as compared to both non-eu nationals partners.

On INIS website, it says Family members of Irish citizens should have 12 months minimum validity in their passport. http://www.inis.gov.ie/en/INIS/Pages/Join%20Family#Family_Member_of_Irish_Citizen However, my wife is EU citizen but not Irish citizen... Yes when I applied it has more than 12 months. But when I plan to enter Ireland it has 11 months... :cry:
