How long does it take to get invitation letter? Hey - seems to be different approval letters. Some approvals say call the council to book your ceremony (and you dont need to wait for another letter), other approval letters ask you to wait for your invite letter to arrive separately. From looking at...

Some people seem to argue (on earlier threads on here) that you "should" leave and enter on the "local" passport if you're a citizen of the country you are leaving and entering on. However, I have not seen any formal guideance on this and it doesn't seem to make any sense for EU passport holders. U...

Travel after British Citizenship Ceremony - EU passport

Hi Guys, Just called the council to book my BC ceremony. The lady was really nice but said that I would not be allowed to travel until I got my British Passport as any ILR would be cancelled from the time of the ceremony. I then explained to her that I do not have or need ILR at all as I am a EU cit...

British citizenship approval isn’t a case of “lottery”....the end the important is if you sent to the HO all the right support documentations needed for your approval. I think you have misconstrued the word "lottery" in the context we used it in. Sikiliza69 + xlisusx - you both make good points!! T...

Emrah - if you used the NCS team then I think ask to speak to them. I think they'll be able to either answer your question or direct you to who in the Council can help answer your questions. (That's my opinion anyway).

I was given 0845 010 5200 on a form given to me by the NCS but it just goes to a recorded message telling people to send an email instead. I ...
