"Not related" referee requirement

Hello, thank you for your kind help :) Just to double check. There is requirement that referees must "not be related" to me. One of my referees is solicitor who worked with me on buying a property (not immigration solicitor of course). Another is the contractor who worked with our house. So they are...

Re: Naturalisation application, no photos except referees pa

My thoughts exactly!

It is British humor, probably.

So, you can tell anyone - oh, you know, it is very easy and straightforward application. Especially after having about five visa applications and ILR application.

Re: Naturalisation application, no photos except referees pa

Yea, thanks.

Managed to do it myself. Two university degrees helped a lot!

Just wanted to check with photo because usually they asked to send couple of photos in the past.

Ok, got it!

So, to sum it up.

I only need to send one photo in total (attached to referee page) with my Naturalisation application on Form AN. Correct? :)

Naturalisation Application Checklist of Docs, please check

Hello. I am going to apply for Naturalisation now. I know some people asked to check them that they gathered all the documents and did not forget anything. I wanted to do the same, here is my Checklist. One or two documents are probably not essential but I still wanted to add them, just in case, as ...

Naturalisation application, no photos except referees page?

Hello Just wanted to confirm, usually they asked to send several photos for visa applications. Looks like I don't need to send any photos for Naturalisation application on Form AN except one photo which is attached on page which is signed by two referees? Do I understand correct? I send only one pho...

How to fill absences if got 10 years ILR, please kindly help

Hello :) I am kind of stuck on Absences section 2.1 and 2.2 Here is what's in the Guide AN to this sections of the form: 2.1 Enter the day you first arrived with a view to staying in the UK on a long-term basis, and the airport or seaport through which you then entered. If this is less than 5 years ...

Re: Knowledge of language, UK MA degree alone enough?

Also, I hope Guru could confirm it. Is it better to send degree certificate rather than official transcript? I think I lost my degree certificate but I can order replacement. They sort of mention transcript in forms but it looks like they would rather prefer degree certificate. I want my application...

Re: Knowledge of language, UK MA degree alone enough?

I think confusion happens because of Page 13 of Guide AN. I think it's quite confusing. Just wanted to double check. So we need to send only MA degree certificates alone? No need for any points printout because they are from UK universities? Sorry, if it looks little stupid but I really don't want t...

Are you talking about UK university degree?

I thought degree itself is enough.

I am going to submit MA degree from UK university. Should I also do this printout with points?

By the way, they describe it more clearly in "Supporting Documents" section of From AN itself as I found out just now.

Knowledge of language, UK MA degree alone enough?

Re: Self Employed statement of Account

Also, I wonder, how long does it usually take to arrive.

First time I phoned lady told me one week, but second time I phoned they told me it may take two weeks. I was hoping to apply in 12 days.

Do you remember how long it took to arrive?

Thank you!

Re: Self Employed statement of Account

Yea, but I'm just not sure, is it not some kind of offence not to change address at HMRC in time?

Can they say I'm bad character or something because I did not update address in time?

Thanks for fast replies! :D
