I think I would make the same call :)
I haven't signed anything - my company is issuing my contract based on the successful visa application (which makes perfect sense). All these complications!!

I've got the same option with my company but as it stands, I currently do not have any shares in the company and therefore I am stating that I do not on my application.

Tier 2 Appendix 5

Hi All

Just wondering - when you filled out the Appendix 5 for the Tier 2 visa, what did you put in the summary sheet as "documents provided" for the certificate of sponsorship (in my case RLMT)? Or do you need to as this documentation is provided when the company applies for the CoS?

It's not stated anywhere and I'm not sure it matters - my company had already interviewed quite a number of people for my job prior to even being able to meet me for an interview. Has your company applied for your CoS yet?? My application just went through the other day for the Nov 5 deadline. What ...

CoS is instant, you get it online right after filling up the form and making the payment. My company applied for the license on the 14th of July and got it on 20th August. an unrestricted CoS would be instant - not a restricted one which seems to be what most people need. A restricted CoS is issued...

did your company apply for an exceptional circumstance RCoS or was it an unrestricted CoS? If they applied with an exceptional circumstance, it does state right in their guides that they may need extra information and documents to prove that it is an exceptional circumstance. Have your company give ...

as far as I know, they have. My boss said yesterday that all the paperwork is in order so I can only assume that means everything is a-ok.

Yes that is correct. My company is planning the same thing (since there was a mess-up with the UKBA for October)

Thanks for that. It would seem that the onus would be put on the company and their procedures however, they've been waiting from the UKBA for nearly 4 weeks for login details for the SMS and have been told it should arrive late this week. Seems to me that it then would not be the company's fault for...

Exceptional Circumstances - CoS

Has anyone ever had an employer apply for a restricted CoS with exceptional circmumstances? Reason I'm asking is the next batch of CoS applications are due on the 5th - my company switched law firms from the time that they were set up to sponsor and so are awaiting login details for the SMS for whic...

That is correct. This is for restricted CoS's which is what your company would more than likely be applying for. The UKBA will consider issuing a CoS outside of their allocation date but only in exceptional circumstances

Not yet - the RLMT finished Sept 9 so we missed the Sept 5 cut off for the allocations for the 11th. I've sent an email to HR at my new company asking what they need from me but that would have been late afternoon Friday UK time so I haven't heard back. My company is opting for the Oct 11 allocation...

According to the UKBA website, they haven't filled each monthly quota. My company is doing the same for me so I'm in the same boat as you - although I missed the cut off for September by only a few days as the RLMT didn't finish in time :(

From my understanding, that is for your company to sort and not for you to worry about. I've taken a look at the SOC codes as well and have no idea where I fall currently! I trust my company and the lawyers to sort it accordingly.

Yes I did mean NQF - glad you knew what I meant anyways :) ILR is open to those who have lived in the UK for 5 years. You take the Life in the UK test and apply for the visa. I don't know too much about it as I've not made it to that but had a friend who went through the process a few years ago. I d...

There are lots of little hurdles when it comes to the tier 2 general visa. First being that the employer needs to be on the list of registered sponsors. If they are not, this is an additional process. If you are looking for a Tier 2 General visa that is not on the occupation shortage list, the emplo...

Hey I just finished my YMS visa - I don't believe they usually full their quota - when are you looking to go? The UKBA publishes the processing times and the number of decisions made for each Worldbridge office online. The visa is active according to the date on your application and on the visa itse...

Tier 2 - RLMT Timelines

I've recently been told that a company is happy to sponsor me under the tier 2 general visa category. They have started the RLMT and submissions close Sept 9. I am on my way back to Canada as my current visa ends in the next few days but am going to sit on pins and needles for the next few weeks! Do...
